A clear and well-connected teaching which confirms a point which I endeavored to share with a small company during a worship hour sermon/discussion. The speaker shared the idea that all mankind's sins were forgiven at the cross using many Bible verses, generally out of context. I shared a contrary understanding. My contention was if that were so, what is the relevance of 1John 1:9; Isaiah 1:18 and similar verses that invite us to come for forgiveness and cleansing. These verses presuppose that although PROVISION for the forgiveness of sin was provided at the cross, each one must individually meet the condition for the forgiveness of sin, namely, if we CONFESS our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and to CLEANSE US from all UNRIGHTEOUSNESS. In other words there must be personal confession of our sin(s) for them to be taken away and for us to be cleansed. The majority of the group had been previously indoctrinated in the speaker's way of thinking and earnestly proceeded to show me my "error". I talked with the speaker after the service and left it at that. Thank you, Pastor Bohr, for helping to clarify vital Bible teachings for your listeners. It is desperately needed.

I love these teachings but I’m not a fan of how pastor Stephen continual tries to under mind the King James. The other bibles are filled with bad interpretations and the KJV is the most trusted version
