Its been 2 years now I've been studying religion. The changes that has been done to my life cause of Islam and God are unbelievable.TRULY when you start studying the life of Ahlulbayt your existence elevates to a whole new level, you'd start seeing differently, perceiving, talking in a whole new way, you start living as a human being should be living... You start thinking that you only want to live on this earth because the holy prophet and our imams lived on it once. Ahlulbayt are all Divine (Mokaddas) Creatures and through them we can achieve Perfection in this world. I am originally a christian and i was given a Hidaya. Alhamdulillah.

'Many times the speakers fear that if you delve into these sermons, people may take Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) above what he is.' Seriously? Do these people think imam Ali (as) gave this speeches to be hidden away? Also, no one knows imam Ali (as) as well as he himself does. So if you want to get to know him, know his reality first, knowing that is more important than knowing his biography.

Well, not every Muslim understand Islam to its very depth like the scholars do. So revealing such speeches would increase the chances of misunderstandings and there would be more misunderstandings between the Shia sect and the other sects.

Anonymous Girl I don't get that. Why would reading a speech from imam Ali (as) make us misunderstand our religion? Are we really the same people who chose Him (as) as our leader? If so, why? And is religion only for the scholars? If so, why did the imams (as) speak to their followers directly if that was the case? Why not just chose a few people and inform them and let them tell the followers what they perceive is right to tell.. and if that was the case why aren't the scholars the successors of the Holy prophet (s)? They seem to have more right to the religion of our imams (as) than the imams themselves (in the eyes of the people).

marko marin You know most of the people born into a religion are unaware of it quite often. I am asking you not to mock them and uphold the values of ahlul bayt that is it. What was the unity between Ali and ibn muljim? He still asked him to be treated fairly. The ahlul bayt are the best of humanity bro. They would want us to respect others and try and have discussions with them and reach a conclusion.

Please also see the incident surrounding the revelation of Surah Barat, with special emphasis on the reasons why the first convoy dispatched by the Prophet (PBUH) to reveal Surah Barat was called back. Hint: "Except you or one who is from you." I will also advise looking at the Quran with an eye towards the Arabic words and grammar of that time and within the context of the Arabic culture/norms of that time. Cheers.

Common people who are susceptible to sins cannot see God, nobody can see God. But common people cannot understand God. In order to understand the Lord you need to know what He likes or dislikes. For example, when a piece of wood is bought near the fire it becomes warm hence gaining a few characteristics of the fire. If the wood goes too near the fire it will disintegrate. But if the wood gains a few characteristics of the fire, it doesn't become the fire. Just like that, the fire is used to represent Allah and the wood is used to represent the Imams (a.s) and the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a). The people cannot stick their hands in the fire to understand it, as it is not possible. So we look towards the wood because it is the closest to the fire.

I don't think he said that at any point. He said Ali (as) was made from the same light as prophet Mohammad (pbuh&f). Also, Ali (as) is great by the will of Allah (swt)

In the holy Quran we read (2:124): "And [mention, O Muhammad], when Abraham was tried by his Lord with commands and he fulfilled them. [ Allah ] said, "Indeed, I will make you an Imam for the people." After Abraham was a great prophet (Ul al-Azm) of Allah (swt) Abraham (a) asked Allah to make him an Imam for the people. This shows that the status of an Imam is higher than the status of a pophet. The Prophet Mohammad (s) was the Imam of his time. Further more he was the seal of the prophets and the best creation of Allah. So it is natural that his Waly (his succecor) must be better than the Imams before him (except Prophet Mohammad (s) - he is the best creation and the nearest to Allah). And for sure his decendants will be as well. And it is vital to recognize that in every era there must be an Imam. Because the Quran says clear (17:71): "On the Day (when) We will call all folks with their Imam"

Jarir bin Abdullah Banjali was sent to Damascus. He was carrying a Letter for muawiya. Some delay occurred in is return . Imam Ali( a ) felt anxious about his safety and wrote the following letter to him. After praising Allah and the HOLY PROPHET s) I want to advise you that as soon as you receive this letter of mine, force Muawiya for a reply to my letter written to him. Compel him to come to a decision and to give a final reply. He must decide between two things. Either War or obedience. If it is going to be a war then I shall get ready to fight against him and if it is going to be peace then you must make him swear the oath of allegiance to me and then you must return. / A letter to Muawiya from him based on hypocritical advice and false accusations. After praising ALLAH and invoking his blessings and peace on the Holy PROPHET (s), I write to inform you that I am in receipt of many of your letters which appear to consist of various pieces of advice to me . You have very cunningly tried to couch them in flowery words and phrases. You have done this because of your natural evil- mindedness and because of the envy, enmity and malice you bear against me. ( These kind of letters show that they have been writing from a person who has no inner - light and no benevolent guide to show him the true path. Avarice, self- aggrandizement and lust of power prompted him to do so and he jumped at the suggestion. It is a letter from a person, whom selfishness has led astray and who has lost his sense of proportion and therefore, it contains no sense and no real worth. - Some commentators consider the passage as a part of the letter above.)( remember that the allegiance and fidelity sworn to me is such that it does not require reconsideration on the part of those who have sworn it nor are they at liberty ( from a religious point of view ) to go back upon it. Therefore, those who belittle it , scoff at it, or go back upon it are hypocrites and traitors. / letter 7./
