I think it was a lecture by Sadiq Hassan that I listened to that addressed this topic, about the alleged status of Abu Talib. Asiya, wife of Firon. Her greatest deed on this earth was to raise and protect Nabi Moosa. "*And Allah has set forth an example for those who believe;* wife of Firaun when she said …………" 66:11. If she can be an example for the believers, then what about the man who took Rasoolallah as his son. raised him?!

Salam Alakum :) Brother, there was a misspelling in your comment. You accidently typed in "moran." It's really similar to an English word that is an insult, if you aren't learned in English. And Allah's (swt) name should really be capitalized.

sayyed ammar, my sunni freind told me that rasulallah(saw) didin't divorce abutalib from his wife because the ayah of divorce of the muslims from the kaffirs wasin't revealed yet. and he recited his nikah because that marriage was still before the beginning of islam. what do you say about this ??

Salam. First off my brother, educate yourself a little bit about a great man, who if it weren't for him, islam would not have happened and started the way it did, and also was it not part of a divine plan? Remind him of this too, as this is our duty to protect our religion and put forth the correct message while honoring the people in islam. Second, read his biographies. And of any theologian or historian, then collaborate them with our written works of him. After being more familiar with his life, you can explain better and you can educate them too so they can know what they did not, unless their hearts are blind. Many things said won't make a difference, like to them omar after became muslim, so nothing he did before mattered. Using their logic you can tell them these things along with all the good he did for islam. Because in the end, there are 2 kind of people in this world with feelings for him, 1 believe he was a good righteous man who fought for islam and will be shown mercy and more. The other believe he's a kaffir. That is what it all comes down to. Was he a kaffir? Just using you own common sense, like the quran instructs us to use, I'll give you a few lines from 3000 pages of what he wrote honoring our prophet. " Let all the people know that Muhammad is the vizier of Mosa and Isa. He came to us with guidance which Allah has guided him. Everyone is guided through their love of Muhammad. Allah has honoured Prophet Muhammad and most honourable of human beings is Prophet Muhammad. He (Allah) ripped His name Mahmud and brought out (the name) Muhammad By Allah, they (kuffar) will never reach you, their whole group Until I have dust completely covering my face. So go ahead with your mission, you are under my eyes. You invited me and knew that I was a guide to you; You invited me and knew that I was trustworthy with you; You invited me because you knew that I knew that Islam is the greatest religion in the eyes of Allah. .. .. " Using logic, are these the words of a kaffir? Blessings to you and yours, and may your friends be guided with a receptive heart, and may the strength of our imam be with you.
