@christins.14819 ай бұрын
I got married at 18. Been married going on 22 years. I did everything completely opposite though. I stayed far away from the guys my age, married a guy 9 years older than me who wasn't the romantic kind and didn't sweep me off my feet. He was my booty call. I had relationships with girls my age but men were just for s*x. Turns out we had a lot in common in that area. I told him he could stop seeing me if he wanted to after he was the one driving almost a whole hour to see me. He said it was fine. What got me was the little things. When we said he wanted to go to the "toys" section in a store, he literally meant toys and not the electronics or tools. I mentioned us hanging out on a Friday and he say he couldn't cause he had to work. Our first date, he didn't try to touch and didn't kiss, he just parked next to my vehicle, looked me in the eye and said, "Bye." And then waited for me to get out. I was the lucky gal to know his secret at bedtime. His Mom was the issue because I didn't cater to her son like she did. Everything was fine because he stood up to me and told her to back off. Then when I snapped back at her, she would cry to her son and he would still defend me. Many women are envious of my marriage because my husband is the one who cooks and clean. I cook too, but he's the chef. I get my butt chewed out if I didn't charge a vacuum. My tip when it comes to marriage is to not look for the nice guy. Nice guys can be narcs.

It’s better to live your life first to know exactly who you are and what you want. The danger in marrying so young is you really don’t know who you could’ve been without them. A lot of the times, you just grow into the mold they’ve created for you. That’s why a lot of girls leave once their brain is fully, or almost fully, matured. The stay “pure until marriage” is something that should be explained to especially young girls. One preacher explained this way; the wages of sin is death-even though you don’t physically die a little piece of your heart dies every time you have to break up and start over with someone else” I thought about that and it hit hard because it’s true. Many women don’t understand that in marriage if you’re a Christian and he says he’s a Christian but he doesn’t act like one, then I believe that is grounds for divorce because he married you under false faith. Women also need to know what the Bible says about how a husband is supposed to treat his wife. Most men twist the scripture to their advantage but if you know your Bible you can easily call BS on what he’s saying. Most folks try to force “legalism” instead of true Christianity. Also there are so many denominations that call themselves Christian but are not.
