For that last story... ol' girl would actually save money by getting rid of him. She'll save money on gas by not taking him to work, she'd save on gas, water and electric. For all the driving she was doing for him she could just be an uber to make ends meet or start her on marketing firm. I was so confused as to why she didn't want to let him go, he contributes nothing . Having no man is better than having a leech

I got married at 18. Been married going on 22 years. I did everything completely opposite though. I stayed far away from the guys my age, married a guy 9 years older than me who wasn't the romantic kind and didn't sweep me off my feet. He was my booty call. I had relationships with girls my age but men were just for s*x. Turns out we had a lot in common in that area. I told him he could stop seeing me if he wanted to after he was the one driving almost a whole hour to see me. He said it was fine. What got me was the little things. When we said he wanted to go to the "toys" section in a store, he literally meant toys and not the electronics or tools. I mentioned us hanging out on a Friday and he say he couldn't cause he had to work. Our first date, he didn't try to touch and didn't kiss, he just parked next to my vehicle, looked me in the eye and said, "Bye." And then waited for me to get out. I was the lucky gal to know his secret at bedtime. His Mom was the issue because I didn't cater to her son like she did. Everything was fine because he stood up to me and told her to back off. Then when I snapped back at her, she would cry to her son and he would still defend me. Many women are envious of my marriage because my husband is the one who cooks and clean. I cook too, but he's the chef. I get my butt chewed out if I didn't charge a vacuum. My tip when it comes to marriage is to not look for the nice guy. Nice guys can be narcs.

It’s better to live your life first to know exactly who you are and what you want. The danger in marrying so young is you really don’t know who you could’ve been without them. A lot of the times, you just grow into the mold they’ve created for you. That’s why a lot of girls leave once their brain is fully, or almost fully, matured. Everything they’re giving up dawns on them.

Dang right about that! New trend in place though: the parents usually don't interview the girls, they talk to her parents first, collect info on the family. They send him her info, like a literal resume with photographs, if her biodata makes the cut, the son interviews her, then tells his parents whether it's a yes or no. If it's a no, he doesn't even have to explain why. Total kingbaby treatment.

She said her mom would sent her on dates at 12 yrs old with men in their 40's and 50's and she was so scared. Apparently, Muslims enjoy these laws here in the US. I had no idea this was a thing. She regrets it. She said that she wanted to go outside and play. She would watch children playing outside and going to school everyday. She said she didn't want to be having sex, cooking, and cleaning at 12.

OP is a certified legend for how she stood on business, protected her kids and acted with such kindness and generosity towards the 18 yr old that ex groomed. I'm glad both of them got away. I'm absolutely disgusted that her deputy father didn't protect his daughter, but not surprised. Cops+Evangelicals= A**hole with abusive minsets backed by a badge and dangerous dogma. ETA: I collect Funkos and other similar merch, but I'm not going to buy those things before paying the bills. How ridiculous! If he's going to leach off her, she should see about getting the Funkos valued. My collection has a good resell value and I keep an eye on the aftermarket prices so I can sell them for a good price if I have to. Why should he get to leach off her resources without contributing anything? Having collections can be a fun hobby, but it's also a rainy day investment, imo.

The stay “pure until marriage” is something that should be explained to especially young girls. One preacher explained this way; the wages of sin is death-even though you don’t physically die a little piece of your heart dies every time you have to break up and start over with someone else” I thought about that and it hit hard because it’s true. Many women don’t understand that in marriage if you’re a Christian and he says he’s a Christian but he doesn’t act like one, then I believe that is grounds for divorce because he married you under false faith. Women also need to know what the Bible says about how a husband is supposed to treat his wife. Most men twist the scripture to their advantage but if you know your Bible you can easily call BS on what he’s saying. Most folks try to force “legalism” instead of true Christianity. Also there are so many denominations that call themselves Christian but are not.

I can wait the 5 minutes for the *whole* bag of marshmallows, and not go for the one on the plate in front of me!!!! But alas, for many men even thinking like that seems to be a major challenge? -Which I am saying a a person that has daily troubles with executive functioning and navigating "plans"... but the social conditioning regarding gender-stereotypical roles and behaviors didn't LET ME be "bad" at this, so I had to learn, just to not be "rejected" all the time... Honestly, the unspoken expectations towards women are SO EXHAUSTING. One side of my family tree is fundamentalist. Only in the last couple generations have some of them gotten divorced. Knowing what i know now, I am glad 😂. It means that they know staying in a miserable marriage is not mandatory. They also have a somewhat lower birthrate. It gives me hope that one day they'll wake up from fundamentalism, and i won't have to be low contact with them anymore.

You're the ah bc why are you with someone who makes that little money? You might still have your job if he wasn't around. His low vibrations have rubbed off on you. He has affected your bottom line. Get rid of him and watch how you glow up.

"low vibration" has nothing to do w/income. High income people CAN and often ARE low vibration.
