This is what I needed to see. I’ve been trading for almost a year and haven’t really gained a whole lot of profits. This makes totally more sense. I was stretching myself out too thin in too many stocks and riding the waves but got stopped out too soon and missed the continued trends. Thank you so much. I’ll definitely try this out!

Actually, I feel just the same. I've never met such a nice, pleasant ,and straightforward bloke. I've only watched about four or five of his videos so far, but already I know I was lucky to stumble across him. Already (in my amateurish way), I am noticing a difference in my trading.. it's quite a surprise to me. If the day ever comes when I can repay the favour, I won't hesitate. Thank you Rayner.

I like to think of it as position building, starting small and constantly adding to and adjusting the position size and managing risk with the ultimate goal of building a large position with a lower risk and an active income stream. Simply by trading in and out using the fluctuations and trends on a smaller time frame, while holding and building a long-term position on a higher time frame. It's something I tend to do more of in the stock market with big dividend stocks and options, but it should work equally well in the Forex market with a long-term interest paying position.

Getting away from risk is the most important thing. When the trade starts to be profitable and has moved enough away from the entry price, you can bring the stop up, or down to break even, and once all the risk is taken out of the trade sit back and let it ride. You can scale in or pyramid in to make the big profits. Just remember you're averaging up, so you have to be selective on entries.

usually i scale out , open position in 3 chunks and scale one chunk at a time or stopped out. yesterday though i didnt scale out and put all my position to tp or sl and went to bed price came at 2 pips away from sl, then moved and hit my tp, and that was the high of the day for the pair then after hitting my only one tp, price came down and would hit my sl this second time i was lucky sometimes scaling out doesn't work , especially if you're a short term trader , and need to sleep from time to time

You were very lucky, buddy. You placed the two initial orders with a 2% risk each one. That is 4% risk. You were lucky as well the BOJ and FED decisions went to your direction. After that, all went like a clockwork. The price reached 1.215 the 5th of december. That is thousands of pips in profits. Hopefully you capture everything, because you deserve it. Just wondering whether you were expecting the rate decisions taking the direction they took or just playing the game of probabilities that this is all about. Thanks for saving us for self-destruction, Rayner.

Good video. Putting ideas all together and practicing them.Trend following 40% win 40% lose and 20% break even. Any reference material on these figures? Would appreciate to know the source.

Hey Rayner! I have a question to ask you about scaling in. Regarding scaling in do you enter with the same amount of lots or do your scale in with a smaller position? Thanks!

just came over your videos. i think i will follow you. never saw the sense of scaling out. they scale out at 100 pips, then another at 200 pips. if you toke off 50% each time. you just could get at with 100% at 100 pips. still many people do scaling out this way.. if you scale out 3 times with 1/3th you get a really tiny bite more if the trend continue for some time.will check out your website. see what you have to offer.

Hey Rayner - I love your methodology - and i too follow a similar approach - except that i scale out in fear of losing profits - because i know how market trends in whippy environments always turn around so quickly. So what i would like to know - is where you first scale in and how you continue to keep scaling in? Do you sometimes initiate a trade, scale in once or twice and then end up losing 1.3R instead of 1 r? Would love to discuss via email if possible :) Thanks, Hugh
