You know what is sad. In driving distance from my family, there is not one church that teaches the true gospel here where I live (in a very liberal) WA state. I praise God for this ministry and a few others.

Alicia S. I personally do not believe one can worship on Sunday in any specific church building unless that one has worshipped every other day of the week! Worship is not programmed; it is continual and instantaneous. When worship becomes programmed or ritualistic , that becomes the FOCAL point and the OBJECT of our worship; not JESUS CHRIST the ONE who deserves our Worship. “ God is a Spirit and They that worship Him must worship in Spirit and Truth”. John 4:24 The sabbath was made for man; not man for the sabbath. The sabbath day was for rest. When Jesus Christ died on the cross, He became our Sabbath Day; we rest in Him; the work is finished. The true church is “ THE BODY OF CHRIST”; the born again. If we look at it from that perspective, which is Biblical, we then understand that, our every day lives are in the presence of God and we are living epistles to those around us. Every act, every word and every thought becomes acts of worship. The Spirit flows through us continually as natural as breathing. We are His ambassadors. There are many who cannot attend “church services” but are powerful witnesses just in their everyday lives, because the SPIRIT does the WORK even in the smallest details if life. THE Bible says “ WHERE 2 or 3 are gathered together in my Name; there I am in the midst”.

@@densershepherd4479 Church attendance is not only about worshiping God. It's also about the support it provides to like minded believers. About encouraging each other, building each other up, supporting each other in time of discouragement, rejoicing together, etc. The Bible even says we need to do this more the closer we get to the Day of the Lord. I would assume because times are going to get more and more difficult and we are going to see more Christian persecution. Hebrews 10:25 "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." God understands that not everyone has an option to attend a sound Bible believing church but those that are able should.

@@jjsmoley I agree with you wholeheartedly. You are absolutely right! However, anyone who maintains that one cannot be as close to God without regularly attending a service does not understand what it means to walk by Grace. I have no more right to make anyone feel less a Child of God by not going to a service, than for one to be made to feel I am better because I do. Romans 14. I do not say there is ANY Harm at all in encouraging and inviting others to be a part of the “local body” that do not attend; but to think that I am better because I do is simply not “salvation by grace”! It is part of a “works salvation”. It is all about our motive. The early churches in Paul’s Day met in homes; which is exactly where everything should start. I think if you will study a little deeper in the book of Hebrews you will see that the scripture you are specifically referencing is concerning the time of the tribulation period. It’s cross reference is even Matt. 24. It is important now and for our learning but we do not have to wait for a “church service” to gather and worship. Worship again is spontaneous, not programmed. It is ongoing and if it is not, the program becomes the object of worship; not Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ lives in my heart; My body is a temple of the Living God and that is true of every one who has placed their trust in Jesus Christ for salvation. If church attendance makes one feel “more saved” or ever better than one who does not attend; the motive must be questioned. I am saved by His grace and I cannot add anything to His finished work. What would you do on Sunday if you did not go or could not go to a “church service”? Where would you interest be? Would you hold a Bible Study in your home? Would you spend your day visiting the home bound and sick among you? Where would your interest be?

I’ve felt so far from church buildings lately, it’s more of a social gathering and empty worship lately, odd messages with no mention of us literally being in the end times.. why is nobody in real life talking about JESUS coming soon?
