Honestly it dont matter. It matters on the engineer. Ibe mixed and mastered stems and 2 travks and ive had clients tell me my 2 tracks sound like i had all the stems. Some clients only had the 2 track and i was able to go inside and make em crispy. Honestly it depends. If this was 2012-2015 talking about stems and 2 track obviously 2 track but again it depends. Some situations you might get a job with just the 2 track. Cant make excuses especially when your rep, and pockets depend on it. Love broddie good topic to bring uo though

Man i thought this was an entirely different video... Back in the days (i used to mix on ADAT & 4-track cassettes) STEMS were groups of tracks bounced down. Like the drums would be a stem, guitars a stem, all keys a stem, verses a stem, etc. We did that cuz we were limited on how many tracks the tape would hold.But today, we use stems to mean trackouts. Confuses me sometimes... Still ga check ya out tho...
