A very good challenge for the USWNT. Scotland women were tireless and fought tooth and nail for every ball. They will be a handful for their opponents at the World Cup.

Always nice to see Morgan (13) and Pugh (11) playing.

USA looked absolutely horrible! They couldn’t hit their mark, they had a hard time keeping a rhythm and had no control over the ball. They seriously need to come together as a team and work out these issues!

Their passing game could use alot of work. If they don't nip that part of their game in the bub, they will be exposed and get beat by the teams who are better than them at passing the ball, come time for FIFA World Cup in France.

The US played strong. Had some chances, didn't quite capitalize where they needed to. Although, they kept control throughout. Scotland decisively contained the US attack. So where is improvement needed? This falls squarely on Ellis. Scotland's game plan and execution countered the US perfectly and what does Ellis do? Nothing. She waits till the 70th minute to bring in a brawler (McDonald) and a rookie (Colaprico). Finesse and set up ability is what this line up was lacking. That is absolutely not McDonald nor Colaprico. They needed someone to move the ball through the lines. Mewis or Pino should have been inserted at the half. Even Sullivan has better ball control than McDonald, Long too. Instead of realizing their shortcomings and change the plan...Ellis makes a like for like sub of McDonald for Dunn. And Dunn has far better control with similar strength. Ellis made the line worse as it's notable how after the switches...Scotland breathed new life and had more chances. As the one saving grace for the US in this one was that although they weren't finishing attacks...they still kept the ball in the attacking third. After her subs...they weren't able to sustain any pressure.

Did you even watch the match? McDonald didn't sub for Dunn as Dunn never left the match. USA had some good play, made some mistakes in a match that didn't mean much and were able to win with 4 key players out. Scotland played well. Neither Colaprico nor Fox played well, but they are new so this is just a "get some XP" match for them. Pugh didn't look great the first 10 minutes, but after that seemed to have a great match overall. Harris seemed to be the worst player on the field. Too bad US goalies aren't as good as international goalies, but our defense is strong and our offensive pressure seems to have carried us this year. Lloyd, Lloyd, Lloyd last match of the year and you miss that penalty kick? I get it you are saving the good stuff for World Cup. Otherwise Lloyd had a pretty decent match, not the fastest any more, but a lot of smart passes and setting up other players.

@@strykerace ....McDonald took Dunn's attacking midfield position and Dunn slid back to take Sonnet's who officially left the match. So basically, yes, McDonald did sub for Dunn, she took her spot and pushed her back.

If I hear "let's go Scotland, let's go" one more time I'm going to scream! I couldn't watch the 2nd half because of it. I tried but they started up again with the chant

If youre American the only chant you have for any sport is "USA" so your whole country is as creative as 11 year old Scottish girls when it comes to chants

SInce they brought up Danielle Colaprico the annoucers went off talking about her and how good she is in the NWSL After watching her in this game, it is very apparent that she lacks speed she could not keep up with the Scotland player with the ball. Just very slow not someone you want on defense no matter how good she plays in the NWSL just to slow

@Messi19 This is the beginning of the fall of football in the United States. The great European teams are investing in women's football and it is a matter of time for Europeans to have the supremacy in women's football as well as in men. The American system of player training no longer resists. while young Americans are going to college to study and play football the Europeans are focusing only on football. This is close to happening.

Harris shouldn't be in goal. And what the hell was Ellis thinking not making subs after 60 minutes.

Shame to see Scotland fans behaving like Germans used to do; booing when the referee does not make a wrong decision in order to favor them, etc. Very jingoistic! And their players played like an unskilled German team; with athleticism and physicality.
