13:05 : the region around the city of Saugues, in the Haute-Loire district, is the Gévaudan. It is famous for a fierce beast looking like a big wolf which attacked and killed several adults and children around year 1765. An engineer born in this town, M. Joachim Barrande (1789-1883), gave his name to a district of the Tchec capital, Prague. He was a specialist of the geology of this region, Bohemia.
