I have been using the Warming Up book from Simon Fischer for quite some time, but I could never figure out the reason for the tapping exercises. Now, your link between these and the vibrato motions make a lot of sense to me. Thank you for your great videos!

put more finger pressure while highest to lowest position to make DIP knuckle collapse down, release finger pressure while rebounce from lowest position back to high postion . DIP knuckle back to bend up status so the first simon fischer exercise is the pre-exercies for the second exercise (DIP knucke directly collapses down without pull out the hand ) kzbin.info/www/bejne/nl7Jln6EnbWfeposi=x_-30yYpfX0Mi_Wf

I've always seen that the vibrato should be down from the actual note but doing it this way seems to go up on the down beat (of the tap) then down after. Am I hearing or seeing it wrong?
@Violinna Жыл бұрын
When it goes up "on the beat" it goes back to the main pitch actively. The passive motion goes below the pitch.
