I’m so happy you went to Eddie’s. I stayed at the Rex and could see it from my window. I wanted to go but as an American I felt like I had to stick to Vietnamese cuisine while in Vietnam. I can get a cheeseburger anywhere, anytime. I can’t always get a good bowl of Bun Bo Hue where I’m at. Thanks for sharing David. Love your travels in Vietnam so much man!!! Keep up the good work! I think the menu said $399k = $16.28 USD for the triple burger. Sorry David, I wouldn't pay $16 bucks for a burger, not even in the US. I like In & Out, lol; $8 bucks combo w fries and shake. 1 thing I don't understand is that why can't VN make decent french fries. Horrible fries from Hanoi to HCMC, staled.

That burger looked like a good homemade burger only I wouldn't put 3 patties on it lol. I like onions, tomatoes, lettuce and cheese on my burgers with ketchup and mustard and mayonnaise or a special sauce. That was a pricey burger. It's funny u r having an American burger in Vietnam. I'll bet u were stuffed! U should've gotten a to go box. We have tons of burger places in U.S. some are great others not so much, I don't really like fast food. I don't think a lot of locals would want to eat their considering their prices are so high, when they can get all kinds of delicious foods for a fraction of the cost. Maybe as a treat or a special occasion idk. I think for that price I would rather have a good steak dinner or Korean barbeque. Actually All u can eat Korean barbeque is very pricey but well worth it, comes with all the banchan.

Wow that Eddie's burger diner looks over the top American (New York to East Coast) to Route 66 Texas to Cali goodness) my word do I want to try that place when visiting - what an adventure and intro to USA for a native Vietnamese seeking USA food stuffs and our 50's diner-style we still love to enjoy. You need to visit here (USA) to see more of what/who we are and enjoy. New York deli style eats - hot pastrami on bulkie roll, real sour NY dell pickle, cole slaw and a soda-pop (a coke, sprite or Dr. Pepper) or better yet, a root beer float - called a 'brown-cow' in the East New-England Massachusetts/New Hampshire area I live in. Cheesecake for desert to top it off. Awesome video, again, keep 'em coming (or "keep on truckin'" is how we say it.

My favourite burger in SG is Chuck's. I tried Eddie's and the burger was decent. I only had a single patty as it was my first time there, and the amount of lettuce was overwhelming to be honest. And I guess I prefer the lettuce on my burgers to be shredded so I don't pull out the entire leaf by accident. The bun was slightly dry as well. The service and staff were wonderful though!

I took my wife to a place called Chuck’s in Q1 but I don’t see it on google anymore; makes me wonder if that location closed or something. Anyhow that was the first time my wife tried an American style hamburger.

He needs to charge a-lot to cover his costs I guess. Places like that are a dime-a dozen here in L.A. My favorite burger joint here in L.A. is called Tommys burgers.Known for the chilly they put on the burger. Another place is called In-And-out. Both places have a drive-threw or dine in. Would love to see you eat those burgers. If I want the best one I make my own. It really just comes down to using the best beef. I prefer Angus beef the most. A burger for 33$, that worths at least 3 days of that server's earning, because for example if you work in a fast food restaurant in Vietnam, the average pay is about 7-9$ per day. What a Viet nam, people laboring are one of the lowest in the world

@@phanduc3365 Yes. People can't afford to eat it everyday for health reasons as well as affordability. Here, it is $12.96 to $14.10 for a gourmet burger meal at a local popular burger chain (Killer Burger). The burgers are 1/3 pound and 1/2 (double) pound patties.

Well, for the first diner, even with the first "burger" that you said was good (?) or did you say, okay? I am not sold because I am looking for your usual facial reaction of approval hahaha! The eyes are going up like you're in a climax hahaha! The 2nd diner, the Eddie's of New York, reminds me a lot of "Johnny Rocket's here in So California. The motif is identical, with black and white tiles, counter seating, and a very narrow walkway. That man knows what he's talking about, salt and pepper, that's it for the burger. I do the same thing even on my steak. I don't like to add any sauce because when I pay a premium for my steak, I want to taste the steak and not the steak sauce.
