You do great work! Question for you experts, rebuilding a ct90 '72, how do I make sure the oil pump is working correctly (I had to repair badly worn head /valves). Thanks and keep up the great videos!
@brian.d.mobley
@brian.d.mobley Жыл бұрын
Hi Morris. There are good instructions in the service manual for your bike on how to rebuild an oil pump. Fortunately, they are remarkably simple. If you want more security, buy a new one! But, oil pumps on these bikes rarely fail. Thanks for watching and for the nice comment! Keep wrenchin'!

Another excellent production Brian. I regularly browse your back catalogue and I gotta say, I really think your and Ariana's efforts shine through. I'm perplexed as to why the subs don't reflect this and unfortunately I don't have any useful suggestions, but I would like to encourage you to keep going as long as you're enjoying the project, and to express my appreciation. Have fun and stay safe guys.

Such kind and supportive words! Thank you! As far as subs, at least the channel continues to grow! I enjoy making videos and sharing my experience with others in the hope that future generations will still get to experience the joys of using their hands.

Hello. First of all, thank you for your work. I have a 100cc cup motorcycle. What should be the valve inlet and outlet valve spacing?

Hi An Babasi. I am so sorry, but I just don't have that information. The best place to find that is in the manufacturers service manual. I am sorry I can't help more. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment.

Hey Brian I was wondering if you know of anyway to move the oil pickup from the front to the rear of a 50 motor because all I do with my bike is stunt. With those 50 motors being horizontal I don’t get oil to the front of the head and end up burning it up in long long wheelies.
@brian.d.mobley
@brian.d.mobley Жыл бұрын
Hi Jake: I don't. There not a pickup inside these motors like you might find in something like a small block chevy or something. Sorry I can't help more.

Question for you are for anyone, I have a Honda P-50 , 1967,68, I think? Engine is on the back wheel, when I switch from just pedal , to pedal to start the engine, when I am pedaling it to start the engine it has a slight drag on the pedals ,but its not spinning the engine over fast enough to start it up, something is not grabbing enough to spin the engine when pedal starting it, also you can push the bike by hand slow and the engine will turn over ,but if you try to push it with enough speed to start it, it slips and the engine will not start, the engine turns over fine spinning the flywheel, but you can not push or pedal start it, I bought it like it is, and know nothing about it, it looks brand new, everything is all original even the tires show little use, but it has not run in many years!, I don't know if the clutches are dry and need more oil added to the engine, the engine oil stick shows full, but that might not be enough to cover the clutches and make them grab? Also there is some kind of rectangular key way in the engine where you switch from pedal or pedal to start , and I was told that the key way brakes, but I don't know if that is what is causing my problem! Any help would be appreciated,
