If you own a single overhead cam, air cooled, horizontal Honda like a CT70, SL70, ATC70 or a Super Cub, and you want to set your points, this is your video! I'm going to show you 4 different ways to set your points. If there are other ways to set the points, I'm not aware of them! You touched on issues any of us have had issues with, restoring Mini Trails I have always gone static at first, But always backup with the light. And you stated that changes still can exist.. This video you did is probably the biggest issue people have with getting a bike tuned next to carburetor problems. But the nice thing if you stick with it, and study manufacturers repair books, it becomes easier to diagnose issues. We all go thru grey hairs, parts changing, and hit and miss. After 35 years working on the Mini Trails you will still hear me say. " You have got to be kidding me" One of the better videos I have seen

I've got an accurate "timing tape" stuck around my flywheel, that shows all 360° marks on the tape. I use a timing light and adjust the mark when the light flashes to whatever degrees of timing that I want when it lines up with the mark on the case. I usually run about 27° BTDC on my 88cc big bore motor. This is with premium 93 octane gasoline.

I learned the light bulb method...But, I have a old timing light...I did video's of me tearing apart my CT0 '74'...

With the timing light method . I’m getting slight bouncing around from my timing light on the “f” mark . Is it suppose to stay fairly steady on the f mark or can it fluctuate a little as long as it lives in f mark. Any ideas on what might be causing that .

Hi Sergio. I don’t know what you mean by “bouncing,” but the moment that the timing light is triggered by the pulse from the spark plug lead can vary - mostly due to engine RPM. If the motor runs fine and is is close to the F mark when illuminated by the timing light, its fine. These motors can vary quite a bit and still run fine due to their low power output in general. سلام استاد یک سوال داشتم اگر رینگ وپیستون موتورسیکلت را عوض کنیم برای آبندی اگر موتورسیکلت در جا کار کند برای موتور مشکل پیش میاد منظورم این است که در جا آبندی کنیم اصلاََ سوار موتورسیکلت نشیم در جا روشن باشد به موتور هم استراحت بدهیم یعنی اگر موتور داغ کرد استراحت بدهیم دوباره روشن کنیم برای موتور مشکل پیش میاد؟بعضی میکانیک ها میگن که موتور در جا کار کند بهتر آبندی میشود. لطفاََ رهنمایی کنید ممنون

دقیقاً منظور شما را نمی دانم، اما یک رینگ و پیستون صحیح برای دوچرخه شما ساخته شده و با تلرانس توصیه شده توسط سازندگان و نصب شکاف رینگ، چه سرد و چه گرم، روی موتور تأثیر منفی نمی گذارد.

سلام استاد تست که با لامپ چراغ کردی سیم آبی چه سیم است سیم pickup است لامپ چراغ روشن شود تنظیم است یا خاموش شود تنظیم است لطفاََ واضح تر تشریح دهید

این وایر ground هست. لامپ هرگز خاموش نمی‌شود فقط کم نور می‌شود و لامپ همیشه باید روشن باشد.
