Sign of a great teacher. He understands how every move a hair stylist makes with heat manipulates the bonds and shifts the wave. Incredibly, detailed information 👌

I very much appreciate how Sam Villa guides the viewer step by step through his process. Not only does he do so in great detail by using proper terminology and indicating specific cues (measurements, hand placement, temperature, etc.) but he explains why each step is important. These are qualities of an excellent teacher. I only wish that the camera was closer so the viewer can see the process properly.

I am amazed over how incredibly beautiful your work is and I'm sure you've heard it before, but your way of breaking everything down is incredibly helpful. You don't just do it, you show us AND explain exactly what you're doing, how and why. You're an excellent teacher. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

Such a good tutorial not too rushed going through each step paced and slowly thank you! hate it when tutorials are too rushed. Loved the wrist watch thing. So helped. THANK YOU!!!!!! Clear and precise. It's obvious you understand what you're doing as well. I think that is key. Lots of people know how but they don't understand or at least don't care to understand why.

Okay so I'm only six weeks into cosmetology school and went looking for help with finger waves because I JUST DON'T GET IT (lol) and found this technique. While I know it won't pass for school, that first technique BLEW MY MIND!!! I have weekend homework to create a style with the Marcel Iron and am totally going to try this. I absolutely LOVE the teaching style, too!

Sam, you were clearly born to do this! I've never in my life received such clear, easy, to-the-point, and friendly instruction. I can hardly wait to watch your other videos - Plus for sure I'll be cashing in on your product. One other thing, where can I find a head dummy like yours???? Yours appears to have 100% likeness to a human head of hair (stitching, volume, hairline, etc). I've searched everywhere and only end up with disappointments : ( Please please please tell me!

I just tried your technique and as always it worked perfectly. I can't wait to do it tomorrow. In the salon I also used the twist cut and the results are always great. Are you ever in New York? I would LOVE to take a class with you or meet you some how! You are truly the best. Thank u for making me a better stylist!
