You should have one of those screen overlays that show us what keys you're pressing on the keyboard - makes it easier to follow

First off, nice tutorial, it's one I've thought about making recently, now i don't have to haha. a few things to note from my experience, Except for sculping, i'm stil a beginner in that (by the way wow the sculpt looks badass 10/10). -Changing the mesh from tris to quads (using blenders automatic one) should be done after going through the mesh and converting the topology back to quads by either dissolving (ctr+x) or cutting(k), from my experience it'll help your final mesh be smoother with less vertice "errors" from any triangles that have still been formed, as well as it will be smoother with less subdiv steps. (I hate blenders "tris to quads" (alt+j) myself so I don't use it and do everything by hand). examples of topology optimizations that would be bad for "tris to quads" (alt+j) (kzbin.info/www/bejne/fnivZ4Smi7esjs0) -dang, shift+e is a lot better than using bevels to add the corners, i'm going to use this method from now on. -Getting a height map from a texture set is somewhat "easy", I use a program called awesome bump and it works MOST of the time, sometimes it can be finicky and the height is just badly calculated, however the program itself isn't very user friendly in my experience so it might be hard to get into it for any beginners.

When I try to do his 1st step the mesh just become a blob, like a crumpled paper. Do you know how to fix it?

@@markdbest3244 For the displacement like you commented earlier? you need to reduce the strength of the modifier. I generally start wth a strength of 0.02 and increase by incriments of 0.005.

Impressive work on Dwarven armor set. Happy to see a fellow 3d print artist at work. I use Maya and ZBrush for my models.

when doing the creases you can use "Select" - "Sharp edges" (work best if you are in edge select mode)

For the arms, how did you make it so the displacement modifier only affected those areas?

I converted tris to quads but Im still left with some tris that leave bumps and pinches after I have subdivided. What do I do?
