Do yourself a favor and get in the habit of throttling down to idle and running at idle a couple seconds before shutting the engine off. Running above idle and killing the engine is a good way of having unburned fuel left in the cylinders. This will then "wash" the cylinders clean of oil and the next time you start the engine, you will be momentarily running without oil and the piston rings will wear considerably faster and you will start burning oil. Not good. Kubota makes a great engine, but no engine last very long without lubrication.
@dinosshed2 жыл бұрын
It's a diesel engine. The shut-down happens as a result of cutting off the fuel supply, no chance of washing bores etc. Even a petrol/gasoline engine would do the same.
@youngmike86452 жыл бұрын
Excessive low idling wears the rings the fastest. That occurs when it’s not hot enough for long periods of time and the rings aren’t expanded enough to keep fuel and oil on their respective sides

Through Alibaba its easy and secure. I bought mine from LTMG they sell through Alibaba is like ebay for China. I am so far happy with my purchase there are cheaper ones but I find the quality of my machine is very close to the brand name ones. Register on Alibaba and search LTMG or XIAMEN LTMG CO.,LTD. is the parent company. they have a youtube channel as well. Shipping to toronto was 4800 u.s. it ships by boat to Vancouver then train to Mississauga so if your closer it may be less. The manufacturing took 6 weeks then the shipping was around 2 months because of shipping delays due to current conditions normally would take only 30 days to arrive in BC. Lucy was my contact at the company she arranged everything. All I needed to do was organize with the customs broker that was notified to me by the shipping company and I went with my truck and trailer to wharehouse in Miss. for pick up myself. Buy any extra buckets and thumbs through LTMG and have them shipped with machine the prices are cheap and you get ones that fit the machine. I should have got a narrow bucket for trenching cables and water lines but I forgot.

Hello, I am an excavator manufacturer from China, we have small excavators with Kubota engines,compliant with EPA standards. Are you interested?

It’s really hard to buy it, you’re looking at 15k for the machine, approx “$4k” to them for shipping, then they try to upcharge another 4k for “US emissions compliant engine” like a Kubota engine instead of their regular cheap diesel, then you have to pay approx 5k in US customs and like 3k for the freight over seas, buying the Chinese mini is kinda a scam, cuz you think you’ll have one for 15k and it ends up being closer to 30, I had a lot of stress with the sellers lying and scamming, had to go through all the legal actions to get it canceled and refunded which took like 4 months, and ended up just buying a used cat 302.7 for 20k, that’s kinda what ppl need to know before buying a Chinese mini

Ben what are you talking about? None of those shipping and customs figures are even close to being correct. If that was the case a tv you buy at Walmart made in china would cost $5k. Yes there is a tariff to pay on imported goods but it’s not $5k for a $12k machine. You can get a whole 20’ shipping container shipped from china to USA for like $1800. You must have been dealing with some scammers. I’ve been buying from china for years and never paid those kinds of prices for tariff and shipping.
@itsumonihon Жыл бұрын
@@lucasbrown-ui9mu he's not totally wrong about customs duties and taxes. he's in the USA, presumably this machine is subject to US section 301 duties (Trade war with China) which are likely 25% on top of regular duties for machinery of this type, plus taxes. People are being fleeced if they're paying $5k for shipping for something like this - you could probably arrange for something cheaper yourself. Then again, if you were trying to buy during peak shipping season or during COVID prices may have been outrageous like that. Prices are down now. The manufacturer may be obligated to not provide a non-US spec diesel engine for a machine that is to be used in the USA. It's possible the import could be seized for not following EPA regulations, and before you say it's impossible for the EPA to find out, any machine of this type has information automatically passed to both CBP and the EPA and likely a few other agencies as part of a routine customs clearance. If the EPA knows manufacturer XYZ is routinely sending noncompliant products to the USA, they will start inspecting every container and busting the importers for it. I work in the global logistics industry and am highly familiar with costs and import laws, taxes and duties.

@@ludditetechnologies No not at all, they are a big company and you have the security of Alibaba, LTMG does not get there money untill 30 days after you send the balance that you pay once the machine is ready to ship. How long did they say before its ready to ship? mine was around 65 days to be built as they had none in stock I had to wait to get it built.

Did you have to get a certicate proving it is compliant with your standards?
@doylemaintenance Жыл бұрын
They gave me a epa paper with it but I was not asked for it. Maybe the broker looked after that.
