Went from a Gen 1 Raptor to the Ranger Raptor. I love it! Great video, keep them coming

So the watts-link system in the back is to improve rear end body roll. It helps stiffen up everything to handle more like a sports car than a truck. At least that's what I've learned in my copious amount of research lol. When i get mine I'm keeping the KO3's on for a while but my preferred tires (had them on all my other trucks) are Toyo Open Country A/T lll. Yeah i was able to turn my sensors off in my 2019. From my understanding, sport mode is designed to be used with the paddle shifters. It alleviates a lot of the RPM holding when you don't need it cause you can manually change it.

There is a video of the lead engineer who talks about the purpose, its definitely an upgrade from the F150 raptor

I spent months watching ranger raptor stuff I need to rewatch the engineering stuff.

@@DavidFigs I got my 19 raptor cause I was too impatient for this one lol. The ranger raptor is the one I really wanted. Living here in NC, I wasn't able to do most trails cause the F150 is just too dam wide lol.

@joshz7712 exact same year I had! Great year, get the Cobb tuner with TCM, it was a game changer. If you reach out to the dealer I went too they do MSRP. I saw one posted on the forums today @ MSRP

I’ve owned my ranger raptor for about 2 weeks and to me it feels super quick. Wayyy faster than my previous 22 Colorado zr2 and even the new zr2s. Every time someone rides with me they always make the same comment “dang this thing is fast!”
@DavidFigs7 ай бұрын
Yah I agree. I've ready so many folks on the forums saying it's slow and not as fast as they expected but my assumption is they don't have truck experience and/or no raptor experience
@belltyler7577 ай бұрын
@@DavidFigs what’s crazy is the ranger raptor has a faster 0-60 time (5.3 seconds tested by car and driver) than teslas standard range model 3 (5.6 seconds). The folks that think it’s slow have to have prior sports car sub 5 second 0-60 experience.
@DavidFigs7 ай бұрын
@belltyler757 whoaaa I didnt know that. I assumed it was around 6 seconds. That's awesome ty for sharing
@belltyler7577 ай бұрын
@@DavidFigs yeah pretty crazy! Going to get even faster once tunes become available. There's already one tune out for the Austrailian market that adds 40hp.

@belltyler757 yah theres vivid racing too. I'm curious how all that works. If Cobb came out with one I'd jump on it immediately

The European-spec Ranger Raptor is even weirder that it has the same fully powered seats, but don't have the memory function at all. That is a text book example of a missed opportunity. 😅

How did you do the Red "R" in the back?
@gannas1387 ай бұрын
You can get stickers on line
@DavidFigs7 ай бұрын
It's from rockymountaingraphics.com/ but it's for the whole raptor logo. I just did the R

Is it the one that's 24.99 with all red letters? Wasn't sure if the F150 and Ranger Raptor have same size
@DavidFigs7 ай бұрын
@mariarob I'm posting a video tomorrow about it. RR is different sizes than the f150. Figs-tube gets you 10% off

I special ordered one in the beginning of April. No vin or production date from Ford yet. My son is a certified Ford mechanic at the dealership. Wondering if I will ever get it or if it will be a 2025. Ford production Job 0.

I've learned it's about dealer allocations. Doesn't matter if you're #1 on the list or #5 for example. If the dealership gets allocations it might be faster as #5. I hope you get yours soon! My assumption is they build until August then MY25s
@Mphonik20137 ай бұрын
@@DavidFigs Yes it seems that way. The order has a Priority code 03 pretty big dealer but I am holding my breath. They got one Ranger Raptor in sold it. They have one on order for stock and then my retail order. They have a bunch of Bronco Raptors that are sitting and not selling a half dozen F150 Raptors and a F150 Shelby Raptor.

How are the kids in the backseat without AC vents in the summer?
@DavidFigs7 ай бұрын
Your timing is crazy. About to make a 2 hour road trip with the fam and that was a thought. I honestly put the ac full speed on head and face the vents towards them
@oni-one5747 ай бұрын
@@DavidFigs Thanks for the reply! Yeah we are expecting a newborn this year and the rear vents are a huge consideration for me (texas summers). Is that enough to keep everyone happy?
@DavidFigs7 ай бұрын
@oni-one574 congrats! Yah big deal for me too and I'll probably be back in Texas soon. The ac blows so cold it's a non-issue bc the cabin isn't as big as a f150. Just turn it on full speed and point vents towards the rear
@DavidFigs7 ай бұрын
@oni-one574 my wife's driving so I'll give you an update, both my girls got cold in the back seat with just the front vents. 🤘

@@DavidFigs Awesome, that's good to know, I think this can still be an option then for a rear facing baby seat.

“If you are just interested in 0~60 this truck isn’t for you” No truer words were ever spoken….Anyone interested in just that is completely missing the whole point of this car…Like you said, it’s designed to be nimble, fast and fun specifically off road. 0-60 meeehhhh whatever

When you say my USA Ford Ranger Raptor, did you have a choice?

Well the truck has been sold overseas for 2 years. It's a little different in the US vs other markets
