There are 2.5 misses on this truck: Any vehicle with leather seats should automatically come with ventilated seats, especially at that price point. Those seats get icky in the summer There should be vents in the rear. It’s crazy to me that both the Bronco, and the Ranger don’t have air vents coming out the back of the console. I am giving half a point for the lockers being a part of the touchscreen, I would prefer a switch. Otherwise I think it’s a sweet truck, super capable! I can’t wait to see more content with it.

@@ALMX5DP afaik they DO get the 400hp engine in this Raptor, it's the 2.3 and 2.7 Ecoboosts from the normal Ranger that aren't available

@@max_archer I'm not sure but my response was just to the comment about not getting the diesels like what was/is available on the Raptor in other countries. I do know that European Ranger Raptors are detuned to 288bhp as well, so they do not get the full 400 like we do due to emissions which again speaks to the commenter's complaint about pollution.

Well....appearantly the truck has a great vacuum seal in the cab if the door shuts hard with windows up. Thats not a bad thing. Heat and air conditioning will work best and sound deadening traits as well. I don't think it's something to be seen as a problem.

The engine in the Ranger Raptor is not unique to the Ranger Raptor. It is the Explorer ST engine. Great engine and with a tune gains so much!
@tedd70285 ай бұрын
The door thing has been proven to be due to the great weather seal in that cab. Maybe they could modify software to force the driver's window to crack when you open the door and close right after you close it, like Mini coopers.

This is a fantastic truck for what it is. Glad to see this updated design. That much power in a midsize truck is mid blowing. I had a 2003 and 2004 Ranger FX3 Level 2s when those were the tip dog models and the 4.0 V6 of of the time were only 210hp and the gas mileage sucked. Anything over MSRP is dealer robbery IMHO and just another reason to argue why the dealership model is in a serious need of an overhaul. I would much rather plan accordingly and order straight from Ford if that was an option and pay MSRP than get one from a dealer just cause they had one and were just 10-20k more because of that.

Meanwhile, 2024 F150 Tremor comes stock with 5.0L V8, 36G fuel tank, better tow rating and payload, roomier back seat, 2K watt on board power, etc., and can be found at dealers at a hefty discount, putting it well under the Ranger Raptor price wise. Seems like an obvious choice.

The Ranger NEEDS a 4 inch lift so it can fit the 37 inch Goodyear Duratracs, Nitto Grapplers or even Mickey Thompson tires with a wider and much MEATIER M/T rock, mud, snow and ice tread! That makes it the PERFECT trail runner that surpasses any Jeep Rubicon or Ford Bronco Sasquatch Edition! That's what one of my Kelowna Mechanic buddies did with his 2024 Ranger Raptor! He got the 4 inch lift and Nitto Grappler 37's on it and it is a DREAM to drive on our Still-Lotsa-Snow-in-June local Western Canada mountain roads! No issue with grip anymore and it still drives on the local highways and city streets just fine! V

I've been a Chevy guy forever but Ford is doing it better these days. Chevy revived the Blazer and it was a joke. Ford revived the Bronco and it was awesome. Chevy killed the Camaro. Ford kept the Mustang and it still has a V8. Ford builds the Raptor which is totally different from the regular F150. Chevy builds the Silverado ZR2 which is only lightly modified. Ford offers a supercharged V8 in the Raptor while Chevy does not. Chevy makes the new Colorado/Canyon with a turbo 4 only. Ford offers a V6. The only exciting vehicle Chevy makes is the new Corvette which is so good it kinda makes up for everything else.

"The dealers" aren't the problem. The problem is that the Ranger Raptor is a limited quantity vehicle that has demand that outstrips its supply. Dealers are simply selling a limited supply vehicle at prices the market would demand. Are you going to accuse the dealers of "profiteering"? That was a crime back in the Soviet Union. Do we want that?

I think 400 Watts is enough for most people. A laptop only needs about 100w, meaning you could run one of those at full tilt and charge several phone. That said, if you're regularly using power tools, you might be better off with an F-150 or a large battery pack that can charge off the 400w plug.
@thomas7355 ай бұрын
You can get a nice f150 for the same price as this. Will probably be more efficient as well. I know this is a serious off-roader, but anything over 50k doesn’t make sense in the midsized segment.
