I’ve a lot DJI drones, trust me for the price you won’t get anything close , how can you complain about the picture video quality on a drone that costs in the UK £167 DJI quality can’t be beaten, if you want better spend more money. For the price it’s remarkable technology.

You are right on that but I think a lot of people would happily spend more to have that drone with a better camera. The features are great but the camera makes it not worth buying it for filmmakers. The argument "It is only 200, what do you expect?" isn't a good argument in my opinion. People pay more for good quality and those who don't don't care about the image quality. It's just not a good drone, it's a toy and that's what people are upset about.

@@Ukcanary Depends on what standards you have for your content. If you only film with a phone then it might be enough for you but that's it. Comercial use is definetly off the table, only suited for hobby content creators.

Perfect. Always wanted a drone. Never had one. Loved the hovercam x1 when I saw it at an Apple store years ago. This could be the answer! Shame there’s no 4K 60 to do slow mo’s with but I heard that you can get 60 1080 with it. But it looks great! Thank you for the video!

I am sorry to say that I watched a review of this drone yesterday, saw several videos made with it and feel cheated. On the website, in the demo materials, the videos look completely different. They have a different dynamic range, more motion blur, they don't have that “artificial” sharpness. I feel disappointed.

Never saw the drone body since it’s limited 🙌🏼 But you can tilt it a looot. Maybe DJI has info on the tech specs on their website

In 16:9 you can go all the way down to -90 degrees and if there is no sudden shakes or you aren't suddenly going backwards, you will not see the frame at all. In 4:3 you can like 2 pixels of the frame all along bottom edge when it's perfectly flat ad looking at -90.

You just have to turn it one (1x short- and then 1x longpress), then wait until it’s turned on and then 1x long-press for like 5secs so it enters pairing mode

@@amuandrew322 Yes. You have to follow the EU Drone regulation which means you have to register the drone, put your tag/number from the registration on it and need to have an insurance which covers drones.

kind of, despite having shorter flight duration compared to mavic mini, you'll get 1. Smaller and lighter drone which is perfect for travel & casual use 2. An option to use without controller 3. 4k video 4. FPV mode (though the goggle & controller set is quiet expensive for some people) 5. AI subject tracking

It's a great way to enter the world of drones and get to know many features. And there are actually many many consumers, that do not focus on the best camera quality, but on the fun. But if you're looking for the best camera quality, then the camera/sensor size will actually be your main reason, yes

- The video quality of the Neo is really bad. But if you do use the goggles 3 it let you adjust the sharpness level. Reduced it looks sooo much better. Hopefully they let us adjust the sharpness level in the app without the goggles? - Dronie is limited to 10m. Other quick shots are limited "only" to 20m. Hopefully Dronie limitation will be adjusted to 20m or (even 40m). Otherwise it's rather useless unfortunately.

You wouldn't want one anyway, with such a small sensor and small aperture, going relatively fast and it not being 3-axis stabilized, more motion blur will only hurt the image. There are some 3rd party ones already, but they start at ND8 which is too much even for the sunniest day in snow for this little guy I imagine, and they go all the way to ND64 which might be needed if you're flying on the surface of the sun I guess.

the really saved cost with the camera clearly. if you think about it this is a $199 USD flying GPS camera drone AND FPV drone that works with a 10km range (using the right control) and has autonomous tracking and flying capability... oh and a 4K camera. Considering DJI sells their little action camera for $399 and this is a flying action camera in a sense for $199, the costs had to be cut somewhere. It's too bad its the camera because thats so important, but ultimately most people won't care if you have a somewhat over saturated, muddy image of something spectacular from the sky because its unique.

The Neo ONLY records at 30fps. So you shoot all your pieces to camera at 25fps for your 'cinematic' review, and then upload at 25fps so all the footage from the thing you are reviewing looks like shit. What's wrong with you?
