2 x Class 40's D213 & D345 roar the Devon Banks

Class 40's are a rare sight on Western metals, but more rarely double heading.
Two preserved Class 40 locomotives D213 'Andania' & D345 worked in pairs running the Devonian Double from Preston to Plymouth and back.
However things weren't to run smoothly as the train left Bristol nearly an hour late due to flooding between Bristol and Worle Junction, meaning the train had to work single line working between the routes. The train is first seen at Whiteball hauling a near full rake of Intercity Swallow Mark III stock with a Class 47 diesel at the rear to provide stock shunting purposes at Plymouth. With a quick dash to Rattery, the pair are seen tackling the steep incline. The third and final shot sees the 40's roar up Hemerdon Bank making a fine site and sound in the Autumn light.

Excellent video. I was the guy stood with you at the top of Hemerdon, it was excellent. Sounds like your idea of hanging the mike over the edge worked well as the sound is fantastic. You had your shower yet?
