My ex boyfriend taught his 3 year old about guns with a little force. He pulled out a gun and offered it to his son, when the son went to reach for it he slapped his hand and yelled “NO. You don’t ever touch this” and he kept repeating it to the point where he offered the gun to the boy and he absolutely refused to touch it anymore or even want to reach for it

regardless, when you live in a literal OCEAN of guns in this country then accidents and tragedies will happen! and they've happemed plenty of times to well trained, well meaning run of the mill gun owners. Seems to me there is a clear solution to making sure these tragedies stop happenning.
