We’re not only taught her American sign language very simple basics but we also never said “Wawa and said would you like water” You nailed it exactly and she has very limited screen time unless a family movie night. She gets books when we go to a store or if we resort to using our device it’s ABC mouse educational app. We have worked really hard with her and plan to continue doing so! Thank you! 😊

Here I am, feeling all depressed and sad cause the holidays are a hard time for my family and this video pops up on my recommended of this amazing little girl out with her dad just enjoying life and being soo sweet while meeting some of her Star Wars heroes.. As much as I might not really enjoy the newer Star Wars movies (for plot reasons), it’s really important to make sure that everybody has somebody to look up to or that represents them when they are younger. I had lots of hero’s whether it was video game characters, pro wrestlers, superhero’s, and lots of other different avenues of finding stuff I liked as a kid. I’m glad we’ve got a lot of diverse content creators so that this can be the case for everybody when they are growing up.

And THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is why, as a long-time Star Wars geek, I honestly don't MIND the Disney trilogy of movies. So what if they weren't "as good" as the original Lucas trilogy? So what if they were derivative, and watered down, and maybe not quite as complex as some people wanted? People need to remember that these are still FAMILY movies. And if the character of Rey can make a two-year-old little girl happy, then maybe that character and her story aren't so bad, at the end of the day.
