Your camper has held up well Timmy . It is definitely a home from home. Could you hang the birdfeeder on the outside of your porch so the birds don't poop on your chair (at least when you are stationary and pack it away for travelling. I just watched Girl in the woods who has just turned her truck into a camper for a road trip

Bought my first truck a few years ago, 2018 F-150 5.0 Screw. Came with MT's. WOW was that a sharp learning curve.. got sideways on the hwy once at 70mph. Anyways I quickly switched to AT's. Now I've got 3 sets...MT's, AT's and winter tires with different wheels. These things are also stupid expensive to own and maintain.

i think it's a much better idea to have the boxes outside, especially if you live in wet places, you dont really want to store wet things inside your cabin imo, it usually smells weird super quickly, and you put puddles of water on the inside which isnt nearly as water proof as outside usually. water runs to the lowest spot, which is almost always a corner you never notice rotting until it blows out into a hole :O

You need to check your tranny for an auxiliary pto output. Some f350 and many f450 had them. If your tranny has it you can buy a splined pump that hooks to the output shaft..throw it in park, pull up on cable knob to engage..you would have hydraulics for dismounting your home from truck bed. My 94 f450 had it..had a dump bed installed on it, it was a 5 speed manual too.

Really cool videos! When you buy your next set of tires, no matter the brand, make sure you have them completely siped. Factory tire sipe is not enough. Most tire shops can do it for 30 dollars to completely sipe a tire. It will make them run cooler and last longer. And most important it will increase your traction on ice and snow a lot! Anyway good luck and keep up the videos...

Going to 40" tires is going to change your power ratio a bit. The road and the wheel being the last gear ratio to factor in. Being heavy, it may not pull as well, put more load on the transmission, but will cruise faster, and maybe get better mileage. For a vehicle like that, good torque and low power transmission system loads are better. Even at the expense of speed and fuel economy.

Hey Timmy, absolutely loving your content, especially as the world is so uneasy with world events, your outdoorsman lifestyle is such a breathe of fresh air to anyone who views this channel. I love the way your truck house is built. Perfection and craftsmanship. I've seen the pictures of the other replicas but they don't come close to the natural wooden beauty of your masterpiece, Just a side note. You mentioned you wanna install larger tires. I'm not an expert, But I've watched mechanic videos on the subject and according to guys like scotty Kilmer and a few others I've heard, bigger tires get worse fuel mileage and wear out the drivetrain gearing. Whichever tire size that truck was engineered with from factory is what a person should keep if they want longevity out of the vehicle is what I've always imagined. Anyways I'm sure you know what your doing but I'm just a bit confused on that. Thanks again, and stay safe!

I have a 2001 7.3L Superduty 4x4 super cab, basically the same truck as you. In 2005 with 140k I installed Bilstein 7100 shocks all around. I now have 290k with the same shocks. I have replaced the mount bushings on the front and recharged them at the same. My dad also has the same truck, we ordered them at the same time, both with 6 speed manual. He also has the same shocks with similar milage but because he lives on a dirt road he's had to have his front shocks rebuilt once as well as new mount bushings. Rebuilding was $40 for parts and $25 for labor. But they are owner rebuildable. I've since learned that the mounting bushings can be replaced by Delrin bushings for longer wear and the shocks are so robust that there is no significant reduction in ride quality.

Love the review buddy. As a carpenter, I have seriously contemplated selling my northern lite and just building a similar setup to yours. I hate not having a wood stove in the winters here in Montana, plus the added appeal of having something 100% unique and something I crafted by myself is a major plus. Also, look into the Toyo AT3s. I am on my second set now and they’re incredible for almost all types of road conditions. Little sketch on solid ice(I mean anything without studs are) and they’re not a full on mud tire, but they perform far better across the spectrum of all conditions than any tire I’ve ever used. Cheers!

Hey Timmy, I just absolutely love all that you do man! One thing I would love for you to do is update us on the mileage of the truck. I’d be interested to know. I don’t think I’ve ever heard you mention the mileage on this. Also is the color combo original? I’ve always followed these trucks. They’ve been my favorite since 1995. I have never seen this color/design combo. I love it! Can you share the story of the truck? Are you the 2nd owner? This is truckhouse life. Would love to know the life of the truck before truck house life. I may share this on other posts to make sure you see it :)

Timmy, really enjoy sharing your perspective on life. The truck house has many sweet features. Only constructive suggestion I will through into the stew would be to put a couple of your lady freinds in charge of redoing the bed and couch situation. If your going for the bachelor old trappers cabin look you have hit the mark but if you are thinking of increasing viewership and maybe starting a truck house build company then it may be time to think modern sleek and clean Euro-Nature in your sweet tiny home! :> Keep up the great work!!!! Frikin crazy awsome!
