Put a vent hole in the storage box. Gas can be set off from a spark from your hand with nylon type clothes on. Switch connections need insulated. Maybe a bad bearing sparks off a wheel, seen a lot of stuff with trucks on the road. I teach cdl too bad things can happen with gas. Good job , hell yeah, that's what fuel filters are for.
@russellfield8539 Жыл бұрын
Hey Tim you should consider an earth between the trailer and snow machines when refuelling, this will prevent a static discharge and gasoline fire.

Let me give you some helpful advice. Both of those fuel tanks still contain the factory fuel sending units. And since the work on variable resistance you should be able to read the fuel in each tank. So what you want to do is go to harbor freight and buy yourself a cheap multimeter. Then set the switch to read ohms and attach one meter wire to ground and the other meter wire to the sending unit output from the tank. You will have to read each tank separately but it will give you an idea of how much fuel is in those tanks. The tank sending unit produces low to high resistance depending on how much fuel is in it. Use you meter as a fuel gauge to check as needed.
@CraftsmanontheLake Жыл бұрын
Couldn't also buy an inexpensive fuel gage for each tank and do the same thing? Permanent hard wired that way.

It looks like you need the proper fitting.... You're putting a side load on that hose it could collapse the hose... You need a 90-degree fitting... And Teflon tape... The hose should not be under sideload pressure like that and rubbing on the sidewall of that box.... Sometimes you can put a long coil spring inside the hose where it has to make a sharp turn.. the spring will stop the hose from collapsing. In that close quarters area... And it will take a lot of pressure off the rubber and the hose will last longer spring inside helps act like a shock absorber.. vibration and grit behind that rubber hose up against the wall of that box will wear a hole through it...
