Mixture of money to follow through on crazy claims and often the more cynical reason that the conspiracy theory promotes an outcome for them they want and are manipulating the people under them. I don't think the guy who created an elaborate rantsona of Garfield and himself is the latter, though.

I think part of it is that they have no one to reign them in. When you have that much money, especially from a young age, no one calls you out on your behavior or tells you when you're behaving in an inappropriate or concerning way. And you don't really face consequences for acting on your impulses. It completely detaches you from society. And when you have access to social media, that attention can create a feedback loop that encourages more outrageous behavior. Obviously it's not all of them, but I think the complete lack of a support network that actually knows you, you can trust, and that will speak freely is a big factor.

Additional comment about Egeez: it’s VERY bold to assume massive companies like Disney-Pixar and Paramount would want to license their properties to a weird little app when their licensed merchandise is LITERALLY AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE. Disney merchandise is literally available in any store you can think of, and they already have an official online shop AND a massive audience loyal enough to consistently buy directly from the source.

It’s genuinely fascinating to me how being rich messes with the mind. People like Nathen Mazri act so insane because they’ve essentially grown up in a different world entirely; you only interact regularly with the rest of the 1%, you’re surrounded by yes men for your entire life, your parents never said “no” to you, you’ve never had to gain any real-world experience… At that point, you aren’t operating in reality anymore and you never learned how to be a person.

As funny as this all is but from what I know (correct me if i'm wrong) Nathan has bipolar disorder and these rants clearly show it's not under control. His father is basically his main source of income and I guess he just throws money at him instead of getting him into a psych ward and getting him on proper medication. It's kinda sad honestly because if he went through with treatment, maybe he would actually be able to be a proper businessman and not having manic episodes 24/7 since he clearly has passion for what he does, he just needs help.

This whole thing is very clear to me. Mazri’s investment banker dad gets some stake in Paws/Nick for the sake of his clearly not-all-there son having a project. They expect it to just be a tax writeoff that’ll keep dad happy but Nathan gets increasingly off the rails to the point they can no longer turn a blind eye. Now he’s feeling jilted and dad probably can’t get him to move on. It’s a deviantart project that happened to get a real license.
