I've just taken delivery of a 2024 mode all trail 5. Haven't ridden it any significant distances yet apart from a "quick blast" 😊 but initial impressions are very good. It's a great looking bike. My only gripe at this stage is the fact it doesn't have quick release wheels, but after a quick search online, you can buy these

Great video, I’m in the market for an e-bike and I was looking at this model but the 2024 version, just out of curiosity did you have a lighter bike in mind that wouldn’t break the bank?

@@MentalAboutOutdoors pre covid I had saved around 10K for a really nice one. My local bike shop had shown me a bike worth around 15K that had been a demo bike and had a few scratches and dings on it and they were going to sort me out a deal. Around the 10K mark . covid then hit and being a sole trader I needed that money to survive I genuinely can't remember the brand let alone the model but it was significantly lighter of course, but a lot more expensive! When it comes time to replace this one, I would probably go for a lighter more expensive model. It's worth paying it.

@@WildCamper thanks for the advice, i will save up some extra £££ to get the weight down, carbon bikes seem to offer a lighter option but i think i would end up cradling it too much so i will keep a look out for a light bike made of alloy that will also give me a good amount of range so that i can ride in the peaks etc

@@MentalAboutOutdoors I took my lads up to bike park Wales and they have options of hiring bikes there. If you haven't taken an e-bike on mountain bike trails, this is the place to try them. Personally, I left my e-bike at home and I borrowed a normal push bike that they have there and it is a different beast compared to the heavy e-bike. I would definitely try before you buy. If you can do that it'll be worth the hundred or so pounds. It cost to rent a bike from them for the day 👍

Ace, thanks for the heads up, I’ll definitely do that pal

'I'm in' I could do with new riding glasses. I got an iscooter U2 recently, it's a cruiser. I wasn't sure if I'd take to an electric bike after too many years to mention on mountain bikes but I have to say I've quite enjoyed it so far. It's nothing like as fancy as yours, I'm almost tempted to get an electric mountain bike.

For me a game changer, knee issues mean normal bikes are possible but end up with v sore knees this really helps. Can't see me ever going back to a normal bike. Good luck with the draw chap . Atb

Interesting to see how you're getting on with the bike. I'm still not sold on ebikes in general. Not sure i'd ride it enough. Good luck to those in the giveaway.

I'm in. Seems you are overall pleased with your ebike. I use a ebike and would be lost without it. I'm too old to go back to a pedal only bike. Thanks for the video.

I'm just looking for my first e-bike and this is exactly the model preffered ... because of the price/offer. Here in Romania I found this one , new for 3000 pounds ... so mainly because of this good price - I think I will go for it.
