Thanks for this video, appreciate it. it helps me in deciding which one to get for my camera. would love to hear from you if there's any new updates on the mcoplus grip after using for some time.

Have you reviewed the Neewer Battery Grip Replacement Grip for BG-R10 for R5, R5C, R6 or R6ii? I wondered if this Mcoplus and Neewer are about the same, or if one is better than the other in regards to feel, weight, durability, clicking sounds, etc. The price is right for sure. Thanks for your in-depth review.

I have not reviewed the Neewer version. Honestly, they are all the same and just rebranded. Having reviewed many aftermarket items, they are all the same.

If you’re still in the market for these third party vertical battery grip, get these over the original (3.5x cost more) canon vertical battery grip, my friend owns this one from the video and i own the one you mentioned (neewer) but with the 2.4ghz remote, love them!

Does the third party grip leak current more then the oem canon ?
@ItsBerg2 жыл бұрын
why do the canon grips always bulge out larger than the camera? My aesthetic nature is cringing inside.
@1KINDPhotography2 жыл бұрын
Only part that bulges out is where the buttons are. I'm guessing because with the battery tray, it needs room for the boards that control the buttons.

How did you charge the camera with the typec? I knew you had to buy the official charger to have it to work... What charging brick did you use?

Could you please do a review on these? I’m wondering if it’s worth 1/3 of the price of the oem ones!!
@1KINDPhotography2 жыл бұрын
I've tested it out and used other and Mcoplus' aftermarket grips for other Canon cameras and the grips work like the OEM. Obviously quality isn't like Canon's but it does the job. If you're doing it as a hobby, $99 is worth it. You can go through 3 and still be cheaper than Canon. At that point, you probably gotten a new camera. If professional work, I suggest the OEM.

@@1KINDPhotography thank you! Would you suggest this brand of aftermarket ones for the r6?
@1KINDPhotography2 жыл бұрын
@@mrebel1992 Mcoplus is a reputable brand. I have other products of theirs and they work fine. But in the end, they all come from the same factory just rebranded.

is the d pad 8-way or 4-way? my last third party battery grip (for 7Dmkii) was only a 4 way d pad...
@1KINDPhotography Жыл бұрын
The d-pad is 8 way, however at least for me, its hit or miss. Maybe because of my fat fingers. lol. Once it's going in a direction, you can't adjust the angle to go sideways. You have stop and press it again.

Yes, you still get the green H+ with the LP-E6NH batteries.

what's the remote for and how to use it?
@1KINDPhotography2 жыл бұрын
the remote is to trigger the camera remotely without having to touch the camera. The remote and camera communicate through infrared. There's not much in terms of setup other than point the remote at the camera.

I tried this as well and I can confirm that with the grip attached to the camera, it does not connect to the Canon Connect app. I have put a note in the description.

@@1KINDPhotography if the third party grip is turn off but still attached to the body to just provide power to the camera. Will it resolves the wifi connection issue?

@1KINDPhotography Жыл бұрын
If you're in need of a grip and don't have or want to spend the money for the OEM, yes. This does everything that the OEM grip does but with very minor issues. Overall, functionality works the same with the exception of WiFI if you wanted to use the Camera Connect app.
