Hi check service records are real and and check milage roll back.Air suspension and chain rattle on start.Very expensive to repair.Car is amazing to drive and to look at.I miss my q7

Hi there can be few issues with electronics including mmi not working properly.Battery also might need replacing.Intake maniford flaps...Windscreen wipers fail.Ecu box must be clean of leafs etc.Think most common people have is air suspension,but my 2008 58 reg did not have any issues with air suspension.What i did is at least 2 times per week make it go up and down.

I know one man he drives 06 q7 he did have issues with registering battery had to jump start him few times.Now he sorted it out runs no issues.Love this car.Nothing drives better for this money inbmy opinion.Good luck.

Yes saving money on tyres not only made scratching alloys more easy,but also made it look not as good.I Didnt try it in mud snow or ice on these tyres,but in sand it performed very good actualy.Pirelli scorpion verde all season are amazing.Never let me down.

Would you know how the 2011 model 3.0 TFSI would compare to yours? I found one here in Canada four $12,000 with 100,000 km. What should I be looking for when I go to inspect it? I have owned Volkswagen Passat before but I feel this is quite different. I loved that Passat but it gave me lots of electronic problems. Did you find yours had much electronic issues? Hello. It is difficult to answer because in England we mainly got diesel powered q7,but by looking on other reviews it looks like diesel q7 is way more reliable.I will try to specify shortly

For example in my 2012 q7 sounded like chain rattle at about 130 000km. Than also look out air suspension few reports, but mine 2008 air suspension with nearly 200 000km was exelent, this 2012 q7 already started to have issues on 140 000KM FRONT DROPPING SOME REPORTED FALLEN TO THE SIDE. CAN BE VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPAIR.

Thank you so much for your time. The dealer was not willing to certify the vehicle for me. I had to get it certified by a mechanic out of my own pocket. So to me that was huge flag and I passed on it. I’ll look for a diesel Q7 instead. Thank you again!

Hi.2008 q7 i got it with 114k miles or 184.000km.And no major faults.If yours is 2008 or newer i guess it is worth it.Check milage is genuine.So many irresponsible people now roll their milage back to sell it for more €£$. Also do a global scan on computer.I dont suggest getting one with no service history.Good luck.

Says they have properly maintained it but I have seen that they Q7 have issues with electrics etc and I'm fearful that at that high mileage there will be lots of issues popping up. His asking £8000 for it and I'm not sure if that a decent price. I think it's too much. Any help?

Hi.On 08 model Q7 Replacement of timing chain is very expensive. 2-6k depending where you doit. I didn't change on mine and it sounded very clear on start every time. 138.000 miles before I sold it.I know few owners of Q7 and they didn't need chain replacement even on high Milage, few on Audi forum ware having issue with chain, but not many.

Hello.I would get q7 100%.It looks miles better and if ever need offroad it can handle it summer or winter.Downside i think if something go wrong xc 90 can be cheaper to own.I would recommend q7 with no air suspension. I didn't have problems with it, but I look in Q7 forum few are having issues.Good luck.

I am in the same dilemma as you... XC90 would be less expensive for repairs, for example timing belt on XC90 (400€) compared to the Q7 timing chain that would cost between 2000€-4000€

Definitely 2012 is a much better car overall. First of all, new more modern engines as of 2011 with only two timing chains rather than four on the older cars. Also more power and slightly better torque numbers. Different and better transmissions on newer cars. And of course the overall facelift looks much better in my opinion with vertical grille bars as opposed to horizontally positioned ones on the pre face lifted models.
