Im going to say this once for the fedora wearing armchair philosophers who think this was okay. This singular group was buying every single chase item and expensive crafting currency that exists in poe. Headhunter, mageblood, Squire, etc. ANYTHING they wanted was being held from the rest of the player base because they had infinite currency. There were literally ZERO on trade while they were working. Nothing to this level has ever even come close not by a mile. If you think that is okay you're an actual idiot. I don't care how smart you think you sound questioning GGG's judgement for a temp ban. Sorry, but you're a CLOWN.

Gonna be honest, I still don't see anything banworthy. Unless I am missing something, everything they did was within the rules of the game. It was an unintended interaction and oversight by ggg, but where in gggs tos does it say you are not allowed to earn more than x currency per hour? I agree the wealth should be removed and the interaction changed, but I don't agree with the bans.

Me too, they are not hacking but rather exploiting a logically doable “strategy” which shouldn’t even appear in the first place due to GGG’s own fault. That’s not even a hack but just careless logic of game developing. Does that mean you have to be a debugger while playing and report for anything that’s out of your common sense or you might be banned? It's confirmed he was essentially doing half of this abuse. He didn't use the scry brothers gift exploit, but he did use the div card scarab on Atoll to print Taming rings. Probably was making insane money as well. When Fub tells you he didn't do THE exploit, he's telling the truth. However, he is lying through omission at the same time.

@@keccakec To be quite honest with you, the “exploit” is really just clever use of game mechanics, intentional or not by the devs. I don’t consider either of these parties (the group or Fub) to be bad. Matter of fact I applaud them for taking advantage when the iron was hot. It wasn’t a bug, it was a full blown oversight by the devs and it was programmed to work that way. I don’t consider someone figuring that out to be bad.

We ran pry about 3-400 burial chambers collectively to find seer and only 3 members found him. Burial chambers had to be t16 and this early in league none existed so we did quite a few different things to run that msny burial chambers to find seer.

This is the second league in a row where GGG's introduced power creep that unintentionally broke the economy. They should have just voided the characters and stash, then rewarded each guild member a demigods for finding this oversight. The strategy is exactly the intended one by GGG but they (the group) should have realised that the result wasnt intended. Hadnt even been a problem if GGG wasnt limiting the card drop to certain tiers of maps i think. Atleast this wouldnt happen every map. When Empys group got banned they even themselves realised it was a bug and stopped doing it and reported it to GGG and they still got banned. These guys instead went balls deep so ofc the ban was warranted. Hopefully its just a ban for the league and those guys can come back next league.

ok but.. GGG "Balance is hard" a statement they made before launching a bajillion changes. Some groups used those changes to make BANK and now GGG will have to literally CHANGE how the game works instead of patching a small error, part of the announced changes were essentially leading to this interaction. I almost figured this was an assumed risk that they worked out to some degree. I didn't include the scarabs when thinking about it, I just figured there were enough changes to make some currency for the truly organized of us. Seems weird to say they have been CAUGHT or that they ABUSED anything. I agree it should be fixed, I think it does mess with a trade economy but it's more like GGG's unpaid alpha devs found a problem, isolated it, and we all move on. If anything the guys who did it should be paid for their time.

You walk into a T1 map with any character and walk out ~2 minutes later with a GUARANTEED anywhere from 5 to 100s of divines - with ZERO risk. Printing 1000s of divines/hour. "Exploit" and "unbalanced feature" argument is definitely a tricky slope because who decides where you draw the line, but when this "strategy" requires no risk/investment/really any input at all and generates some ridiculously large multiplier of divine/hour of any other strategy in the history of the game its pretty clear this isn't remotely intended or allowed. Arguing semantics in which variables and lines are the deciding factors in a situation this clear is pretty unnecessary. Also, the nem3 situation didn't print 1000s if not multiple thousands of divines/hour within ~24 hours of league launch. It didn't have the potential to crash the entire SC economy almost immediately on launch.
