Can somebody explain to me what he’s doing with the unveiling of the mods on other weapons? These somehow affect the rate of the mods he does want to unveil on the wand? And, this may or may not be related to what he’s doing, but is there weighting for unveil mods as well? I never noticed them on poedb or anything (tho I’m not sure I ever looked either) Thanks!

Sushi is just tinfoil-hatting with the extra unveiling beforehand lol, it isn't actually influencing anything. As for the weighting, all veiled mods have the same weight, but he is blocking one of them from rolling with the crafted mod he puts on. You can always check craft of exile for mod weighting if you're curious!

Since no reply actually answered your question, Sushi followed the tinfoil hat theory of previously never unveiled mods being preferred when unveiling an item. He bought veiled weapons and unveiled all but the 3 mods that he would be happy with hitting on the actual wand. Like others said though, there is no evidence of there being a benefit

when you have an item with a focus mod on it you just magically get a focus skill :D

When you have any item with a focus mod on it, it unlocks focus as a skill you can put on one of your buttons. That is the only way to acquire focus in the first place, it isn't a gem or a passive node.

btw, i already hit t1 spell dmg and +1 all spell skills gems what is 2x harder to hit than t1 spell dmg and mana, did t1 spell dmg and can craft 3 crafted mod magic wand, then imprinted it, regal, cannot roll attack mods, and prefix blocking added spell dmg to spells, then exalted orbs, cost few hundred divines, alternative was fossils, which was around 800-1500div cost to hit this mods and couple thousands of tries.

@@Eploger yeah you're right, you wouldn't use recomb if you're doing a synth base. But on a normal base, recomb is the easiest way to get those mods. Wasn't clear if the OP was working on a synth base or trying a similar craft on a normal one.
