The big surprise is that in this earlier version it's "Mr. Burkhart" not "Mr. Baxter" (as in Tony) who asks about sea serpents! Also, I notice how the music disappears after entering the cavern and reminds me how much more effective the narration and setting was with the organ track still playing (the earlier music track sounded like it could have been from the original movie score soundtrack).

Wow! I remember riding this on my very first visit to WDW in 1977. I was five. Yes, I'm old... :(
