I've been looking for this version of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea for years! I had this in the 80s.

Thanks for these old audio dramas. This is among the best audio drama versions of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. I remember Frankenstein when it came out but have never heard any of the others.

In the '70's, I had a number of sets of these recordings. These were from the Adventure boxed series, ss I recall. Can you advise me as to where I could repurchase or find copies? Loved, and still do. "....you LOVE the sea......

This is wonderful. Is it unabridged? (I subscribed!)
@nightmaretheater_TheCount3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the subscription! No, it's not unabridged. However, they did a very good job of retaining the essence of the story and the main points in a drama that is less than an hour long 👍

Sir, I just found your channel while I was making a digital recording of my cassette copy of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. What are the odds of that?! I made a digital copy of Dracula from my cassette copies years ago and am attempting to make copies of the remaining titles I have. I have "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn", "Treasure Island" (has some bad spots in the tape), "Adventures of Tom Sawyer" and "Mark Twain Stories". I saw your comment about the Yale Library making digitized copies of these after acquiring the rights, however in an email I just received from them today, they have not digitized anything other than the "Mark Twain Stories". Where can I download an .mp3 copy of the items you have? Once I digitize my copies, how can I get them to you to preserve on your channel?

Hello David 😊 I would say the odds of that are pretty slim! Please send me a personal email here at my KZbin channel, and I will confer with you further about this. I'm anxious to here these! Thanks 👍

Wow!! These are precious!! Thanks for uploading this! 👍 Do u know if there's any CD rendition of this in modern days? :)
@nightmaretheater_TheCount5 жыл бұрын
I'm so glad to hear that you enjoy these! That's great :-) As far as the CD versions go, there are none that exist at this point. The library that holds the right to the master tapes has not released them on CD, and has no plans to at this point. However, they did say that I could get copies made of the master tapes, but the initial copy is expensive. At some point I'm thinking of doing a fundraiser in order to get the funds necessary to purchase a CD of the master tapes so I can repost them in all of their original glory!

@@nightmaretheater_TheCount has there been any progress on getting a digital copy of the master tapes for 20k leagues under the sea? Thank u so much for posting these radio shows used to visit my grandparents in VERY rural Arkansas and late at night they would re broadcast old "theater of the mind" shows and the like (no one in broadcast range even had a t.v. so this was amazing back in the day. Brings me back.

Is this the broadcast from The General Mills Radio Adventure Theater, hosted by Tom Bosley, in March 13, 1977?
@nightmaretheater_TheCount3 жыл бұрын
No, this was a different audio drama. I don't think this was ever released on the radio. It was only released on LP's and cassette tapes.
