Oh, and the most legendary bass song ever, by Britain's loudest band: "Big Bottom" by Spın̈al Tap. @@b1lly137 an intro to a song doesn't have to be just a single instrument my guy, an intro essentially is the beginning to a song, so even if it's the drum you hear first then the bassline, just before the lyre comes in, it's still counts as "intro"

btw, the intro to For Whom The Bell Tolls actually has something you're missing: After the chromatic part in the beginning, there is a pull-off on the 19th fret before it goes to the 17th fret on the D string.

Kurt said in one of his interviews that he had been listening to the song “Not a second time” by Beatles for 3 hours straight.And that’s how “About a girl” was born.100% he didn’t even know about this band And the same thing is about bodast.He wasn’t into that kind of music,he was more of a Celtic frost or led zeppelin Guy.He didn’t know about them. And also about “Heart shaped box”.Whether he ripped it of or not,he changed like a genius.The vocal line is something that John Lennon would do.And the riff is very complicated.He was one of the best songwriters out there. My personal favorite bass intro is End by The Cure. It’s a six string bass, and it is HUGE. Primary, also by The Cure, features two basses and no guitars. Also one of the best, imo.
