2:15 So, G5 actually covered this “tech” and actually it makes you die SOONER, So bassicly what happens is that when you Directional air dodge, your character actually goes the oppisite direction of what direction you inputed [only happens for a few frames] although its only a few frames, the little push can be enough to put you in the blastzone, Also, about low knockback moves that send of stage, sure, why not, but the examples shown in video are air dodging right at the blastzone, which is worse than just DI’ng or jumping
@BananaBoySSB5 жыл бұрын

Don't apologize for the "how to fight everyone" video. Like seriously, you are fine. You made a short video for a 70+ character game, if anyone honestly thought you would be perfect or not be making generalizations, they are dumb. Also just b/c Leffen says you're wrong, doesn't mean you are. I watched his video and I thought half of his counter points were wrong, some of this is opinions, not fact, after all

Small but important correction about tip 13, specifically how it relates to Joker: Universally, grabbing after an attack hits your shield takes an additional 4 frames. This means that Joker's grab OOS to punish daisy Fair is 10 frames, not 6 as the video implies. I actually often times will intentionally turn around and shield with my backside to get bair OOS because it has a godlike hitbox despite the startup. The reason the grab worked and the bair didn't is because peach/daisy fair is -8 done perfectly, but shield is the character's only frame 1 option, so grab beats shield (duh), jump (universal 3f jump squat), spot-dodge/rolls (not active until frame 3 or later), and maybe dash back (Idk about this for sure, but I think it's likely). Jab is frame 2 though so a frame-perfect fair > jab should trade. Love your content btw

Aside from Inkling thing, there's one thing in here I believe to be an inaccuracy: While directional air dodging can help you recovery, you should be careful while doing it close to the blastzone, because if you directional air dodge to the left, the beginning of the animation moves you to the right. Therefore directional air dodging away from a blastzone can make you die when you otherwise wouldn't.

A very good exception to 13 is Snake. You’ll want to b reverse your grenades on stage before shielding so that your opponent is much more likely to hit them if they approach with a hitbox. Also, back air comes out much faster than forward air, and you can true combo it out of grenade explosions at lower percents.

I loved the video like usual but according to ultimate frame data, doesn't shield grab after shieldstun take 10 frames, which is the same as bair OOS? I'm talking about the 5:30-5:53 section. But subtle turn around to shield works a lot, I guess, because opponents don't expect a grab.

Idk man, having your own music is a jam, man and ...like... gives me a rhytm where i can dodge my opponent, cuz like, they can't hear MY music... and stuff! Jokes aside, your jokes were nice and subtly on point. You had some great tips, right in that range of intermediate-beginner, and you expanded on but not elaborated on tips like 'You must recover' so i think that went well. I know the Passive Edgeguard was called T-spiking by someone... iirc Izaw in a Link vid (i could be wrong, ofc ). And yea weighted blankets are great, but i live in a desert climate. So its better to have '20'lbs of layers instead of all or naught. However can atest to the feeling of security in your blanket, lol! Keep it real Banana Boy!
