Grateful Sebastian hasn't left old school frags entirely even if he's recently been stoked on gouramonds and can speak honestly about the trends. Still finds and promotes value in traditionally great masculine frags. Which is its own genre but the legacy of those certainly still lives on in various modern frags, TFs, Amouages, etc

Hi Sebastian! In the 80’s I named my cat Antaeus because I loved that fragrance so much!

Still have half full bottles of these and more from the 80's. Great stuff, still wear them occasionally, but they are bombs compared to today. Favorites are Kourous, Fahrenheit and Anateus.

Age 75 here. Really enjoy these retrospectives. Bentley Intense has become my signature scent, except in the summer. Trying Silverlake then.

I never wore Bowling Green or Drakar, but my first fragrance experience was a huge bottle of Aspen by Coty. A gift from my grandmother on my 11th birthday (1992)

With huge trepidation, after the "horror" stories I'd heard about Kouros, I gave it a sniff at a duty-free, expecting it to make me sick. Well! I was instantly infatuated! Wow. Yes, I got a bottle. It's a bit tricky finding the occasion for it, but I'm super-happy to own it.

Great lists👍 For me Cacharel - pour L'Homme from 1981 is missing in both lists. It's such a classic from Gerard Goupy, and it's the first perfume I remember buying in the early eighties. It's reminding me a bit of Dunhill Edition - which you have in part one - but this was made three years earlier. It's still available to this day, but the current version is a ghost of what it used to be, and I recommend buying Oscar De La Renta - Oscar For Men instead...I think it's closer to the original than the current original is today.

I've had them all and when you factor in everything (illustrative of the decade but distinct in its own right, availability/reformulations, etc). Boss Number One is the quintessential '80s men's fragrance. You can work outwards in different directions from there, but it's THE '80s scent.

Thank you Sebastian for this great trip down memory lane! So many memories come up when seeing these bottles. 🥰 I'm sad that they change the scents when they later release them anew. They lose the original's power and charm.

I'm pretty curious about that one, it seems that although full bottles are hard to come by, miniatures and deodorant sprays are not. I recall Antaeus. It was amazing. I remember smelling a fragrance strip in a magazine and I ordered the cologne from Neiman Marcus. It was my favorite for the longest. The reformulation isn't as captivating.
@Ekiboy1Ай бұрын
My biggest problem with reformulation is that it does not seem to last. 1 hour later it is a skin scent and I would say after 6 hours not even that. Such a shame, as I still like the current formulation, if it would last.

Tuscany was one of my favorites, I believe I have a little bit left in my bottle I don't think it's still good. I know many from the video, never liked Cool Water.
