Right?! I think one of the biggest things that helps DS games hold up today is how they didn't try to be graphically advanced but fun. So you can pick up just about any DS game and still have it hold up because they are just fun and you are playing for that and not for the graphics. When games try too hard to be "realistic" in terms of graphics, they can only go as far as the current tech. So once the current tech becomes obsolete and new tech comes out with better fidelity, those games feel "old" and not viable anymore for that modern time.

Two of my favorites not mentioned: Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes - it’s a brilliant strategy puzzle spinoff of the RPG series. I could play vs mode against the AI for hours at a time. Final Fantasy IV (DS) - a solid remake that gives the game the 3D graphics treatment (making it look like the PS1 FF games) as well as pretty significant changes and updates to the character systems, which makes how you customize characters who won’t be in your final party important. Also, while Aria of Sorrow is typically seen as the best DS Castlevania game, I’ve always preferred Portrait of Ruin.

Having recently got a 208 games in 1 cart, all these games are on it and working perfectly for £10. Now if I was a kid with my SNES and we didn't have a lot of money and someone said that I can get you a cart with 208 SNES games on it and a lot of them are great games I'd have to be on the spectrum to not want that. I'm glad these multicarts exist and when the Switch dies it will all happen again.

Bah. Custom Robo Arena not being on this list is a crime. In fact, for me personally, it ought to be #1. Also, all of the following should be in top 20 (and some, top 10): - Bomberman 2 (ie Custom Bomberman). - Spiderman Web of Shadows/Shatter Dimension. - Dragon Quest Rocket Slime. Also, I think Zelda Spirit Track is better than Phantom Hourglass (ST has better story, better control, and a lot more cool mechanics). In addition, I think Dawn of Sorrow was the weakest of the 3 Castlevania DS. I think the strongest is Portrait of Ruin, but most people think Order of Ecclesia is the best among the 3.
