My grandma excelled at growing Roses She shared her secret with me, every time she used eggs in the kitchen she kept the shells. When she had collected enough She’s crushed the shells with a big spoon and sprinkled them around the base of her roses 🌹 At one time she had 100 rose bushes and All five Grandchildren had a different hybrid tea rose bush planted when they were born Honestly They were the most beautiful flowers I’ve ever seen. I’ve used this hack on a sadly looking yellow rose bush I had been given. In just a few weeks, the plant had completely transformed into a beautiful bus. The Roses were stunning. This was 2001-2002, I dried some rose petals and put them in a clear heart ornament specially made for keeping petals. I still have it and they’re still a nice yellow. My grandma was impressed because whenever she tried to dry her yellow roses they would turn brown within a few days. Apparently placing a few outdated whole eggs 🥚 below where you’ll be planting your plants. You’ll reap the benefits from the decomposition of the eggs. Giving a ton of nutrients into the soil

Just a heads-up, pH goes more acidic as it goes down the scale, more alkaline as it goes up. Coffee lowers, not raises, pH.

If you remove the eggshells you can add a tablespoon of the vinegar to 4 gallons of water to water your plants, there is calcium in there too. Eggshells alone take years to release their calcium.
