They aren't that high maintenance. Just don't forget to feed it for a very long time but even if you do it might be revived. The only other issue os to prevent mold. Loosely covering in a not too warm environment should help prevent mold growing.

Right? I keep mine in the fridge and don’t feed it. When I’m ready to make bread I take it out feed it, wait for it to rise and then make bread. Then feed the leftover starter, let it rise about half way and chuck it back in the fridge for next time! 😋

Some tips from an experienced rock tumbler! The grit takes off the surface of the rock so it’s not likely to make it break open. The higher the grit the more fine it is and it takes off less of the rock, so it’s not really becoming much weaker than the last tumble. You might try using grit one for a few more tumbles or simply just tumble the geodes with other rocks so it might catch a weak spot and cause it to break (of course this risk smashing the crystals inside the geode if there are any). The smaller geode didn’t break open, the grit just took most of the crusty surface layer off, exposing the centre, which is likely a kind of quartz. The tumble worked well for that one! The two larger ones look thick, could be a solid geode (can have really cool cross sections but are harder to break open), but you can get a pretty good idea if they are hollow by feeling how heavy it is. If it is hollow it will be light. You can also use a similar kind of rock around the same size and compare their weights. It could be partially hollow, but this will still make it a bit harder to open without a saw. Also be careful when you are tumbling geodes because if they are hollow they can cause a build up of air pressure inside your tumbler which will result in an explosion. If you wanna tumble geodes make sure to open up your tumbler every day to “burp” it! Good luck tumblers!

In Southern California if I water (from crown not seed) it regularly, I can get a pineapple fruit grown in two years, but I am lazy and don't water enough and it takes longer to fruit. I also tried to grow pink pineapples from seeds but it didn't sprout.

Pretty sure you need to change the water when you add a new grit or you're just scratching them up with the larger grit at the same time you're trying to smooth them out more.

I never would have thought of Caesar dressing in guacamole. I can imagine getting a lot of flack from others if I suggest trying this, because guacamole is a bit sacred in my family to those that eat it. However, a lot of people don't realize Caesar dressing was invented by an Italian chef in Tijuana, Mexico. The fusion potential is there, I'm all the more curious and will need to remember to try that sometime.

Girl, you should try grafting. Then you don't have to wait 13 years, just find a mature tree with some nice buds..

Others have already said Mexico is North America but I also wanted to say it’s not uncommon for Mexican restaurants to sell these too! First one I had was in a taco and it was so gooood I’ve been trying to recreate it ever since 😊

I went to dig my own geodes at a place called Dugway Geode Beds. Some of them have tons of color. I also pointed a group of people towards a geode that was over a foot in diameter, aswell as found my own geode that was a cluster of 5 or so geodes that were super round! Can’t wait to go back someday.

For someone who cares for butterflies why would you think your caterpillar laid eggs, that grew into something completely different, think they will become monarchs, and give them milkweed seeds thinking they will lay eggs in them?!

Some of y’all in the comments need to get over yourselves 🙄, the genus Opuntia is native to North, Central, and South America, ranging from southern Canada down to Argentina, and while this particular species is native to Mexico, it’s an honest mistake, good grief people 😂
