I modify the mesh traps with steel leaders instead of the strings and connect them to an O ring like on a key chain nothing works better.👍great video Mike

Really enjoy watching you getting the crabs Mike. Used to do that a lot up north in summer. One favorite is a big softie fried up and made into a sandwich. We used to catch a lot of crab when my dad lived on a canal in Merritt Island. Missed seeing Summer in this one Mike.

Damn in Isle of Palms SC at my cousins house which is on a salt water creek leading to the Wando River we can catch 25-30 nice big 5””-7”” across the shell blue crabs in maybe an hr or hr and a half. Simply by putting a piece of raw chicken on a string and dipping them with a net like you did. Most of time you will have 3-4 crabs all on one piece of chicken and then its up to skill how many you can scoop at once!😎 its an art for sure!

Hey Mike, a tip for your viewers, My wife and I went out crabbing on 07/20/22, we had just bought some of the metal mesh traps and rigged them for the trip, we had 4 metal mesh and 2 string traps, we ended up with 29 crabs in about 4 hours, ALL but 2 of the crabs were caught with the metal mesh traps, I don't know why it worked out that way but I don't argue with results, we have been crabbing for several years, we use chicken for bait, I guess the point I'm trying to make is that investing in the metal mesh traps is money well spent.

If you ever get up towards fort Morgan Alabama you can’t help but catch crabs. We were fishing down that way and as soon as we’d cast out crabs would have our baits. We caught crabs on jigs bouncing bottom for flounder. They wouldn’t be hooked just holding on to our gulps.

great video bro. Have one tip for you. Go to dollar store and get the big diaper safety pins. The real big ones. Push one thru the bait the trap and your weight instead of string. A lot easer and they cant move the bait.

Be safe blue crabs pee fish red bass 90 /100 salad shrimp cook magic catfish bait blood liver all the way to fish bites clam all the way up to Kroger's and spots good frying up croakers and spots all the way up to mangrove snapper saltwater creeks in inlets and surf fishing Blue fish all the way up to Jack crevelle all the way for Virginia croakers all the way to Florida croaker sailor's choice pinfish all the way up to butterfish shrimp Blue Crabs oysters lots of oysters got to get a special stamp by a 3-day fishing license or a stamp they call it buy a fishing license for the DNR and fish and game check your rule book each state is different Florida freshwater and saltwater lots of bluegill sunfish lots of catfish hard heads of flatheads lots of chicken liver lots of beef liver and it's a lot of catfishing gets lots of crabs get them free from a woman it's better to go to the bait shop or fish market in Florida be safe wear your life jacket and always bring a raft cuz you never know when you'll need it for those long hours of surf fishing for the king wife get the Florida lighting and you got the door there waiting King whining is my favorite kingfish Spanish mackerel northern and southern 15 different types of macro freshwater saltwater freshwater sheep said or would you like a salt water she said you pick she pet fishing lots of crabs for sheepshead and you'll have a good mother-in-law Melissa Parr getting their anniversaries on the 17th with 158 kids later Chicago Illinois be safe largemouth bass all the way to Pike bye
