I absolutely love your videos... they are inspiring! I installed a tension rod in the back of my sewing cabinet/wardrobe. I hung plastic storage containers with handles (from the $ store) and store all my sewing and craft supplies. That way the desk area of the wardrobe is free for me to put my sewing machine. I will be using many of your ideas, so thanks!

I’ve never tried to use them for supporting a shelf. What if the mechanism will get weaker? Would it be easier to install a shelf insert or to mount a new shelf as usual?

@@OrgaNatic I think it would only add more tension onto the spring - which is what it's designed to tolerate anyway. And, no, a normal shelf-install would not be easier in this small space. I may end up going with my original idea of using PVC pipe with "T" & "L" fittings _and_ I could slip a few tension rods thru the front verticals to make sure it doesn't move around. 🙂 Thanks for your inspiration! 💐
