Oh, great, another floatation device that leaves you absolutely NO choice BUT to go up. If you combine that with the stupidity of the aero surface pump, that is a guaranteed killer combo. An hour at 40 feet deep is definitely enough to saturate your blood with enough dissolved gases to give you an excruciating experience of the bends when you trigger that wrist or neck floatation device which drags you to the surface in seconds without doing safety stops at ten feet/ three meters. IF you are lucky enough to survive the rupturing of your lings due to hyperbaric trauma of quickly surfacing from 40 feet. Wow, what a great way to increase diving accidents, especially as these are marketed for anyone stupid enough not to take SCUBA lessons. Great idea, and all displayed with the typical American enthusiastic voice over of the ultra-salesman who cares not one bit about your actual safety but about how much money he can drain from you before you croak due to his ill-advised products. And I love me some 'swimming devices' for anyone unable to swim that advertise as being able to swim for up to one hour. "Up to one hour" usually means, that under perfectly controlled lab circumstances the absolute maximum this device will go is one hour distance. Add a litte turbulence, a tiny bit of current, and that thing will then give up a lot earlier, dumping a NON-SWIMMER at a position where they either learn to swim really, really fast, or learn to drown at least as fast. Wow, I haven't seen a much greater suicide device than that marketed under a 'swimming aid'. This video should not only be taken down, but the publishers as well as producers of some of these products be sued for balant disregard of the necessary safety measures of potentially hazardous devices. Sheesh, what morons.

Other than not shooting to the surface, the No Decompression limit for 40 feet is about 130 minutes. Well over the 1 hour run time of this. I would imagine the recharge time of the Aero Pump would provide a pretty solid surface interval in any case. (assuming you don't have 2) You are correct though, ANYTIME you are working with compressed gasses at any depth, educating yourself on the dangers and safe procedures is 100% the thing to do. I doubt anyone would be using the 30 second "air bags" with the 1 hour dive compressor. Just saying.

I would be more worried about the cards in my wallet. Lots of phone mounts have magnets. Other than playing merry havoc with the "compass" feature, your phone should be fine.

Honestly imo, The Air Buddy is just a bootleg version of BLU3’s NOMAD (even though it was 4 years before the NOMAD was released) Same functionality but different look. If I had too choose, it would have too be The NOMAD due too it’s legitimacy….Considering that one person has reviewed it. The NOMAD is a different story.
