The "sand towel" is called a fouta in Tunisia, the shark tank people did not invented something new. They were used traditionnally in hammam bath. I used these towels in my house year round, i prefer them to regular towels. They are soft and they dry quickly and they take less space in your drawers and in the washing machine. You can use an XXL as a light blanket in summer.

I bought one of those turkish towels from a vendor one time, and it didn't cost me $48. The shark tank towels are really nothing special as compared to other turkish towels. I use mine at a bath towel though. It doesn't feel like it, but it does a good job of drying you off, and it dries off fairly quickly itself. It is also supposed to get better the more you wash it though. As far as the cup holders, I kind of wish they were a little insulated. You're still surrounding a cold drink in hot sand, but I guess it's better than nothing.

I have one of those Turkish towels, and I LOVE it. It’s bigger and lighter, and sand doesn’t stick to it nearly as badly, and it dries faster. It’s also nice and light so you can put it on like a scarf if you’re baking in the sun. So far mine has lasted very well, (7 years or so) and it was cheaper than a regular towel when I bought it.

I actually have a sand cloud towel. I've had it for a couple years. It's held up really well. And while I can't speak for the sand function (as I've never used it at a beach), I can say that it is pretty absorbent but it doesn't take that long to dry. I have soaked that thing, and it has never once failed to dry or smelled funky or anything. It's never stayed damp for more than a couple hours (and that was only when it was absolutely soaked through). So it's been very handy and useful to me. The only two complaints that I would really give it, is the fact that the first couple times you wash it, it does run/bleed. So, make sure to wash it by itself. Also, I'm a bigger guy and in retrospect, I should have gotten their XL model or whatever it's called for a little bit more. But worse comes to worse, I'll just use my standard one as a hair towel and then buy the bigger one for my body. All in all, it is by far the best towel that I have ever used. Yeah, it's a bit pricey but I personally think it's worth it.

A'ight frequent beach guy, gonna review em one by one, feel free to respond. 1. Sand Cloud: Not bad but wonder what the cost is because there are plenty blankets made with materials that repel sand and like he even said, softness/comfort isn't really an issue. Plus, if you are bringing that or another blanket, you are reserving your towel for it's intended purpose anyway, to dry you (or bring a shammy to save space). 2. Cupholders: Sand gets everywhere, might as well make a cupholder in the sand anyway. I usually dig my own reclining chair in the sand anyway. I like the stable design but anyone bringing this probably already brings a chair with cupholders. (sand flying from Africa to S. America benefits the ecosystem there for example). Ice cubes is an interesting idea but again, they probably bring their own insulated mug as most common ahem, drinks, are disguised on most beaches. 3. Don't really care about the Sandscreen as per his comments. 4. More questions about the Sandball since he didn't show much: I assume the material isn't sticky but similar to certain desk grips (& similar products) so it can be rinsed and re-used? How much sand did he add to the bag, did he attempt to keep sand out like an average visit or throw sand in to test it? I am interested though.
@rachelcookie321 Жыл бұрын
I go to the beach a lot and never bring a chair with a cup holder or an insulated mug. I like to sit on the ground, not in a camping chair and I don’t want to have to lug a big camping chair with me on top of everything else. And I don’t need an insulated mug because I bring ice.

From the sandscreen, I can see it over talc from it being a lot of issues with the formula in of itself and conflicting information. If getting to something thats much more easily closed, the sticky ball can easily overdo a standard microbial cleaning slime to clean a car and something with more clearance. Only if it does keep its stick for a longer period of time, or can be a case of that alien tape that was 'reusable'. Though for the dog bowls with legs, can easily be left behind at that point with bottles, doubling up with the waves picking up more unnecesary plastic.

The cupholders are interesting, but my girlfriend is a marine science major and I can only imagine the horror on her face if she saw them and considered people forgetting them on a beach lol. Even if they aren't super toxic anything getting into the ocean is pretty bad.

Thankfully they seem decently sized and a bright color, at least

I think they're a waste of money. I've lived my whole life without them, and never had an issue with drinks on the beach. 😊

Looks similar to a jelly fish from a dumb seals point of view.

That ball creeped me out with the thumbnail so much I had to see what the heck it was….
