Depth of water we go across depends on the exit, and the bottom surface we don’t go too deep it’s just too risky on big beemers….. we have done 20 crossings a few times sometime no drama other times you 360 the bike on causeways at low speed , but we never hit causeways at speed may look great on film but can be very very nasty. I’m having fun in New Zealand at present….

From someone who almost always walks crossings when in our 4WD (!) very impressed with your skills. What's the 'no-go' depth marker for you on the GS?

It all depends on the speed of the water what the riding surface is under the water, if solo. and if bike is loaded wether on big bmw or my enduro machine!!!! with water less risk is best!!!!!!!!

If you’re learning to ride please get lessons from say Harts riding school. Don’t watch videos like this. I’m sure he’s a nice guy and it’s a nice well shot video but any instructor will not be impressed with how he is going around the corners. Sorry if this is upsetting for some.
