6 am is when you start to count, so 12 is 6

@@alistiner4200 simplest way to remember it is basically you just add plus 6 to what ever time it is now let's say it's 8 rn instead of saying saa nane(which is 8 in swahili) you would say saa mbili (which is 2:00 ). Because you added 6 btw you restart at 12. So 8 ---> 9,10,11, 12,1,2 my language time concept is similar to that of swahili I don't know why it's like this so if someone does please tell me I would like to know. hope that helped :)

In East Africa, time is told differently. noon (english) is 6 or sita.
