What a treat! I remember these as a kid. Is it me, or was British 1970s telly more FUN than it is today? The sets may have creaked, the graphics were crap and it wasn't half as slick as TV today. But it had a glamour and mystique that's sadly missing now. Talking of glamour and mystique, how wonderful to see the lady who epitomised both in spades - the glorious Diana Dors! She was a STAR in the days when there were stars. When people were famous for a reason - the reason being, when they walked in a room/ or on screen, you knew they were famous without opening their mouths. They had star quality, ie charisma. Jon Pertwee was another, he was a star to his finger tips. He was a very old friend of Diana Dors. Back in the 'fifties he was married to a girlfriend of hers the actress Jean Marsh who created 'Upstairs Downstais'. Diana and her then husband, the utter swine Dennis Hamilton (who died of syphylis - 'nuff said), often double dated with Jon and Jean. But that stopped abruptly, as did the Pertwee's marriage, after Hamilton played a very nasty trick on them. He secretly audio taped a private conversation Jean had with Diana, about the affair she was enjoying - then played the tape to Pertwee. Seems Jon didn't bear a grudge against Diana, years later. Or did he? That crack about her being pregnant was incredibly rude and disrespectful, I thought. Was DD in an other of your uploads of WHODUNNIT? Thanks so much for your fantastic channel, it's very much appreciated! XXX

Why can’t the low volume of the dialogue and the loud volume of the music be swopped around??? Just think of the advantages - a viewer could set their tv to hear the dialogue at a volume they like and any music which came on would be unobtrusive and softer in the background! Wonder if any tv producer has thought of that? Or is there some reason unknown to me why all music segments in all programmes has to be much much louder? Just a thought… now back to the plot, if I can hear it… as I’ve just reset my tv to get the music to a decent level.

A show about murder is sick enough at any time because families bereaved by murder really exist. It particularly never should have been om during the Ulster troubles.
@keithnaylor19813 жыл бұрын
What a load of nonsense. Murder and death is a fact of life and it leads itself to dramatic entertainment. Any individual can decide whether or not to watch. It’s almost like saying that during WWII there should have been no movies made about the war.
