150, Cast on Freeze when mapping and Cast on Shock when bossing, you switch between them.

hey bro what is the point of ricochet gem and trick shot notable? From my understanding this just makes it so the arrow bounces of walls which seems useless no?

Since we are using Ice shot and it forks into 8-12 small projectiles once hit an enemy the small projectiles often hit trees / rocks / walls and target an enemy after they do so, this is not at all useless. In very narrow maps such as seepage and augury this makes your clear speed way faster, even in maps like savana and blooming fields this is very useful.

Could you do a boss on your next big brother man, only trouble im really having. I got thiefs torment and seem to have the build down to a tee while mapping. bossing is the trouble

For bosses you need to turn on cast on shock, place an orb of storms on the boss and spam lightning rods, there shouldn't be any issue clearing bosses with this build.

@@Izhuhara You can leave it on, no issues with that. Maybe you're not doing enough lightning damage to start the loop. Try using orb of storms on the boss, then self cast voltaic mark on the boss and spam the orb of storms with lightning rods. If you have the hands of wisdom and action there shouldn't be any issue but try using voltaic mark anyways.

I’ve been running a very similar life shot build for a while and it’s quite similar to standard lightning arrow, subjective IMO ice shot is just a cooler and more fun ability than lightning arrow, and you don’t have as much of an issue with proccing herald of ice, like LA needs to get flat cold damage and get extra cold damage from unique jewel. The clear is good but a bit more directional since you mostly clear in a cone in front of you since you don’t chain behind you like LA unless there’s terrain to bounce off. And you lose some of the synergy with lightning rod but honestly I mainly just use that for bosses

The only thing that I could add to this answer is that Ice shot can be significantly cheaper than LA since we don't have to invest as much in cold damage to freeze :) The places where Ice shot truly shines is in narrow maps such as Augury due to chain from terrain, it can reach spaces that LA wouldn't due to the chain from terrain.

ice shot has 2 main ways I’ve seen to boss, one is cast on shock ball lightning like in this video, other is cast on crit eye of winter + ball lightning, in both cases using orb of storms and lightning rods. Both can delete bosses very very quickly and the cast on shock variant is the same bossing as with lightning arrow the difference is just in mapping/mob clear
