Awesome video, and gives me some great ideas for next deer season. I always had issues with these in the past with getting my foot in on the climb down! Thanks for the ideas and good luck.

Thanks for making this tutorial! How has it held up? I'm just wondering if I'll have to make new ones each season.

Thanks - I think these probably should be replaced every year just to be safe - I am going to replace mine with an amsteel rope

@@outdoortimehuntfish Oh I see. I made my aiders out of paracord and leftover plastic tubing (instead of tape), however I haven't tested it in the field yet. I hope the tubing helps it last a couple of years. Well I'd love to see your tutorial on making amsteel rope aiders! Thanks again!

I prefer battlecord. Atwood makes it with a 2650lb tensile strength. Its cheap and stong as heck.

@@seanbarrett657 Thanks for the tip! How would battlecord compare to bankline (I have a bunch) besides the fact that it sounds much more badass 😂?

Paracord is too thin to use as an aider. Tubular nylon is much more comfortable and easier to use. Just make a loop on each end large enough to slip over the step.

I actually agree but I wanted to create options with what I had around the house
