0:56 I contacted the Jim Beam distillery and they say they're not going to quit making OGD 114. 👏 I hesitated over the Black 7 year, but I love it. It reminds me of Old Grand-Dad. 🙂 I've not had many finished whiskies, and most of 'em I've not liked. The one exception is a Scotch, Balvenie Caribbean Cask - I had a sample of it three years ago, nearly, and enjoyed it, but I'm a bourbon guy so I've just never gotten around to buying my own bottle. 4:48 If y'all can find it, try Hard Truth. They're in Nashville, IN, and they're distilling they're own whisky. Their Sweet Mash Rye is barrel proof and excellent. The Sweet Mash Bourbon is only 90 proof, but it's very good.

We have a hard truth rye. Agree, very good! Unfortunately only available to us by mail... so it's likely our only one - unless someone we know does a barrel pick.

Love the list! The Clermont Steep is just so weak to me, no fish , though. The St. Alley may be a good one to put up against the Penelope Tokaji finished Rye.

Just bottle killed a Prideful Goat 6 year cask strength rye. Luckily I have a backup. The last one you talked about. The Peerless rye. I have a store pick that is awesome. I am a bit bias to Peerless. I took the tour in '22, and I love their story, and Whiskey. 🥃🥃

The double oak rye is worth every penny. The small batch rye is a bit pricey... but they do make great whiskies!

Lot's of good ones in there, I just refuse Total Wine(Vanc.) prices. The California stores have sales often that beat Oregon prices. You brought up OGD 114 and it seems to be fully stocked again. I'm wondering what's up with the Early Times BiB, OLCC search shows 1 bottle in the whole State! Is it because they finally ran out of Brown-Foreman juice, and Sazerac is waiting on their barrels to mature? Thanks Laura and Troy, stay cool.
