Even as an American, I don't know most of these slang words. Janusz had something right about "pop your clogs", didn't he? I assume there was some origin where you'd take the shoes off of a corpse or something. Maybe that's where that internet meme comes from, that as long as somebody has their shoes on in a video where there's an accident, they're okay, but if they lose their shoes, they die?

Interesting, if I remember correctly, in the US _to waffle on / over_ means that you can't make your mind about something. _Pop your clogs off_ was a new one for me, and it made me look up _clog_ on Etymonline, and I found that, in addition to its "wooden shoe" meaning, it had another one in Middle English, and quite curious, too: it seems back then it was used to talk about large pieces of jewelry and large...testicles! 🥚😎🥚 Loved the show, Mitch, real nice way to polish my Brit slang a bit! 😁
