Another tip I learned is if you’re buying a player by triggering the release clause, you can put a selling team wage contribution and save some salary. Good video btw.

I used to live on this game when I was a kid. But that was 15 years ago. And obviously this game has evolved so much in that time, to the point it’s like a completely different game to me. I’ve never felt like such an amateur. I’ve been unable to play in recent years due to not having a windows pc. But now I do. This will help enormously. I’ve been playing career mode on fifa and have practically trained myself out of fm. I still love the series for the memories I had and I hope I can fall back in love with it again like I did all those years ago.

FM23 is crap. I just played a season as Chorley FC exceeding expectations and finishing 7th. All of my squad are on short term contracts because they're semi-pro so I have to renew their contracts at the end of the season. The problem is nearly all of my players are demanding their wages be almost doubled. I can't even negotiate because even though I have £1500 budget surplus, the board won't let me offer more than an extra £50-£100 per week. My star player Connor Halls current contract is £400 per week and he wants £850. For some reason the board won't let me offer any higher than £400 per week even though they let me offer another weaker player £800... It doesn't make sense. So now I'm going to lose the better half of my squad and there's nothing I can do about it. The team cohesion I built up will be gone and I'm worse off now than I was when I started. The annoying thing is I didn't sign any players. I used only my starting squad for the first season to make sure I had a healthy budget to renew contracts because something like this happened last time I played. I like that lower divisions are in the base game now so I can play as my local team but the financial side of it is just broken. The wage demands these semi-pro players are making are ridiculous and the board arbitrarily deciding I can't increase the wage of my best player by even £50 even though I have £1500 in the wage budget is stupid.

I play nonleague teams where the coaches and scouts are poor at knowing abilities and potential. What good is looking at their ratings of players, they are always recommending players I know are shit? At this level even their strategic suggestions stink. Am I right, until I find a guy that evaluate at least a 10 they're usually wrong. The big teams have very good evaluations of players at a level I can count on but not at nonleague levels.

I only buy fm once every 3 years now in sale. And still it hardly improves. Zero money..zero investment every year just a database upgrade. 3d match engine looks like its from year 2000. Still no commentary just poor sounds from unreal looking crowds...no options to let you get better sponsors..design snd build new stadium...no you have to go beg Ai bots leading to utter boredom late game.

Advice and hepl if you dont lose game ,if other teams or team give offer for your player and you refuse from better club ,that player dont be first 11!Why?It is import if he is goalkeeper or striker,he be make mistake or dont score or connect stupid goal
